Hello world of Fanfiction!
So, before we begin, I'd like to make a quick author's note. I'll try to keep it short, but we'll see how it goes!
This is my first challenge for ImagineClan - wonderful forum, please join! It's also something new for me. Drabble challenges. For those who don't know, a drabble is a piece of exactly 100 words. This particular challenge was to write five drabbles, each based off of one word. Five words, five shots, five hundred words.
This, of course, does not include author's notes!
So, expect five more scenes like this. It will be one story.
The characters are loner cats, currently on a walk at the beach.
It begins... with a disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I am not, and never will be, one of the Erins. I do not have a second secret name where the initials are "EH". Sadly, I do not own Warriors, and probably never will.
Chapter One: Wave
Moss raced after Shadow, darting over waves rolling on the beach. She purred as she caught up to her mate, rubbing her cheek against his flank. He purred back. Moss twined her tail with his.
Shadow pulled away. He stared out into the ocean. "It must go on forever." He took a step forward.
And suddenly, a wave rushed over him! The force of it threw Moss back. She stumbled to her feet and looked around. Shadow was gone!
Moss couldn't move. Somehow she knew it was hopeless. Something broke inside her. She yowled her grief to the never-ending waters.
So that's the first! It seems so short, and I wish I had a few more words for description. Please review to tell me what you think; I'm really new at this.
