Hi! I finally came up with an idea for Princess and the Frog. I wanted to see if reading stories of this genre would help me. Total Anime Fan Girl had me read her stories to train myself, and guess what? I think it's working! Sorry if this is a short story. Is it the law to write a long story? No. So I have the freedom to write short stories. I have never read stories for the Princess and the Frog before except like one. No flames, because I am writing for this category for the first time. :P I think should be writing now. Review please, and enjoy! :D
That day was a day Tiana could never forget. She wished she could go back in time. She had been very young on the day they received the horrible news of her daddy.
Tiana had been so sad. Tiana's daddy would no longer go on about the old sugar mill, talk about his dream to some day open a restaurant with Tiana, or sample and compliment her on her gumbo. None of that would ever happen again.
There was another problem. The restaurant…he would never get to see it. Either Tiana could get a job and make his dream come true, or she could let it go and forget about it. If she chose to make his dream come true, then that would mean non-stop hard work. Was she ready?
"Well, it would have made him happy," Tiana told herself. She remembered that very day her daddy told her that she could wish on the star, but it would only take her part of the way. She would have to work the rest of the way. Tiana would do anything for him. Even if it meant working day and night, non-stop without taking a single break, she would do it. Tiana was not going to stop just because her daddy was not there for her anymore. It was her dream too, not just his, and Tiana was ready. She went over to her window and peered up at the stars.
"Daddy, I know you're there," she said. "Don't worry. I'll get you the restaurant." For the first time since hearing the horrible news, Tiana smiled. She knew Daddy was smiling right back at her. "I'm ready."
