Author: Babs
Title: Untitled (Because There's Nothing Left to Say)
Rating: PG
Summary: Willow in around 300 words. Probably the weirdest thing I've ever written.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Not ever.
Feedback: Pretty please?
Many moons ago, while the wolves howled and the wind whistled, there was a once upon a time. Classic story of boy meets girl turned a little on its side, but it worked for you in this turvy topsy world. Love knows nothing of the joys of your journey and you spin together-- upside down and inside out. You know no expectations of the bitterness of life until the demons win you over. Your heart bleeds and you're left a little hardened. Like bubblegum on a nightstand just waiting to be chewed, someday you may get softer.
Many lives ago, while fairies sang and dragons ran, you had a sister. No common blood ran through your veins but you were sisters nonetheless, bound by common tears. Death could not separate you; it could not beat you. Not the first time. On winding paths, in changing shadows, you lost her. It hurt to breathe and you had to remind yourself to do so.
When you find each other again, you are both marked by darkness-- she with her splintered fingers and you with your blackened heart. The power pulses through you, but you are no longer sisters. You are the living dead.
Many songs ago, while children danced and flowers bloomed, there was magic. Caught in the beauty of love, you sparkled. Took for granted your luck in finding something so special. So quiet. So lovely. Power lavished languidly and you ran from her, failed to take heed her warnings. Your spirit lingers with her.
Darkness wins and it takes over, gnaws at you and your rotting flesh. It seeps down deep fills the smallest crevices in your soul. This dance with the devil has begun its seduction. It whispers sweet nothings in your ear and lulls you to him. The music hums in your head and you sway with him, spin slowly into the canyon.
Down
Down
Until there is nothing--
Not even an ever after.
FINE
