DISCLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter, as much as I'd like to own it.

Xenophilius was lying on the grass outside his house, staring up at the night sky, and sighed.

A little while after he got there, a small girl lied down next to him, and he looked over at her, "Couldn't sleep, Luna?"

She shook her head, "I miss Mommy…"

Xeno sighed, and nodded, "Me too…"

He picked her up gently, and lied her down on top of him, pointing up at the sky, to a star right above the moon, "You see that star? It wasn't there a few days ago. I've always believed that the stars are the souls of wonderful people, and that's mummy. Right next to her is her childhood friend."

Luna smiled a bit, "And it's right above the moon too…"

Xeno smiled as well, "And we named you after the moon. Moon in Spanish is Luna. That's you."

Luna smiled wider, "So, that means…Mommy is very close to me, but I can't reach her…"

Xeno's smile faded, "That's…true, but don't worry, she'll always be close, and she's also in our hearts. She'll never leave our hearts."

Luna yawned and nodded, "Never ever."

After she had fallen asleep, Xeno picked her up carefully, and carried her back to her bed, laying her down, and tucking her under the sheets, careful not to wake her, then he went back up to his own bed, falling asleep.

Years later, Luna Lovegood stared up at the sky, and smiled.

There he was.

Her daddy.

Up in the sky, just above the moon, and right beside those two stars he had pointed out all those years ago.

A new star had been born.

Xenophilius was with his wife once more.
