Summary: Do you think that in another life we could be together
"Do you think that in another life we could be together?" she questions slightly starring at the dark haired man. As she studies his face it looks like she was about to cry.
Cry for her and the death that he caused her. Despite the fact it wasn't his fault that she is dying. If it was anyone's fault surely it must be the people who are responsible for this war.
With each person that she kills she felt like she was a losing a piece of her soul. She knows that the only reason why she is in this war is because of her unique ability and that she is one of the few chosen ones by Etro
"In a life where we aren't torn by war or our loyalties to our respective countries," she continues in. Slightly resting her head against his chest and even now she can see the light of Etro and the death goddess coming to welcome her in her kingdom.
"Yes," he answers and his voice sounds thick with the tears that were about to spill. "In another life we will be together. I promise."
They both knew that he could possibly be lying but at the moment she couldn't find herself caring very much.
Maybe it is because it gave her hope. Hope that in another life they could have a life together. Perhaps a life that ended with a happy ever after instead of a tragic ending.
A part of her couldn't help but to faintly smile as he gently presses his lips against her dying one. Giving her one last taste of heaven before Etro takes her as her own.
Part of her dreams of another life.
