There he stood, staring through the gate at the only woman who could possibly match his lifespan, or who could possibly outlive him. They're relationship was not what one would expect. A mutual friendship, that through the years grew into a dependency on one another. Together they trained the generation abandoned through no fault of their own.
"He's here" she said gazing off to the left.
"Will they stop him?" He asked, watching the light play off of her deep green hair.
Her gaze shifted meeting his, a small smile gracing her lips. Her gaze abruptly shifting back to the left, the smile quickly replaced by a frown, staring at the unseen. A vision in time visible only to the garnet orbs she possessed. Her weight shifted away from her companion through the gate, leaning heavily on her garnet staff. "All will be as it should."
"Don't play games with me woman"
"Games Green?" she asked briefly glancing at him. "I would never play games with my princess' life."
"Show me."
The gate shimmered, the garnet of the orb growing brighter in the darkness that surrounded them. For a moment the garnet light vanished from his eyes. Slowly the image of the events unfolding on Earth became clear. There they stood, pink and black against a halo of gold. The green orbs of the golden halo briefly flickering recognition at the sight of the pink haired woman. Attention diverted from the woman, drawn to her companion.
Rage flickered. Gold crackled. Black changed to gold, ascension. Flames leapt higher power increased.
The being who arrived in the halo of gold looked to laugh. Vanished for but a moment and reappeared holding the neck of his opponent, the woman's companion. The angle of the vision changed.
Fear flashed across the woman's face. Tears gracing her ruby eyes, her head shaking. Pleading. The ascension breaking, gold fading to black. A brief glance between companions.
Power surged. The golden halo flying back. Black and pink falling to the ground. Pink moving towards black. Pleading. Praying. The healing light passed on from her mother shining. Failing.
"No more Pluto."
The image dissolved as requested. A glance towards her companion showed but one emotion on his generally stoic features. Pain. Another student taken violently.
"Pic.."
His head shook. Feelings too difficult to address. She held out her hand. An invitation to enter her domain and exist within the fogs of time.
"We will be needed my green friend. It is but a matter of time."
As the gates of time closed the Green and Garnet guardians stood keeping watch, waiting for the moment when those they held dear would have need of their aid once more. Watching as the fates played out, just as they were meant to.
This is a brief companion story to Sugar and Spice describing the events on Earth at Broly's arrival, from the view of Piccolo and Pluto. The black that is described would be Goten's kid, as Trunks and his family had previously died as mentioned in Sugar and Spice.
