Dark Desire
Author's Note: Okay this story is a what if, what if Darth Maul had killed both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon on Naboo? It starts right when Maul uses to force to throw Obi-Wan back, in the movie he falls into the pit because of being pushed back but here he doesn't, with bad results.
Obi-Wan was thrown back by Maul who used the force to push him back. Obi-Wan flipped over and slipped on the floor, his Lightsaber flew out of his hands, he knew he would go into the pit if he didn't act quickly so his put his hand on the ground and stopped himself from sliding any further. Maul was quick to act, he flipped over to the young man with Lightsaber in hand, Obi-Wan used the forced and tried to get his Lightsaber but Maul was to quick, be struck a killing blow before Obi-Wan could retrieve his weapon. Maul struck him across the chest, leaving Obi-Wan's mind filled with nothing but pain and the memory of Qui-Gon's death playing in his last few seconds.
Darth Maul turned off his Lightsaber and grinned. Both Jedi were dead, he had completed his mission. The Jedi in the council all felt Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vanish from the force. Maul walked out of the room, back to his ship. He should report back to his master now, but he felt a disturbance in the force, one he had felt since he had been on Tatooine. He would seek it out, he felt a power, one the could be sculpted into his own image. A power from a person, one who he felt was innocent, one who was young, one he could corrupt. One he could train on his own. He had just killed two Jedi, he was now certain he had moved on past his padawan stage, he now knew he was a full Jedi. He was ready to take on an apprentice of his own.
The battle of Naboo was still won. Maul had no interest in helping them out. His old orders meant nothing to him now. He would train this one with this great Jedi power and destroy his old master. Then he would rule the Galaxy and bring in a new order.
The Jedi council told everyone about the passing of the two Jedi. They had found the bodies, and were having the traditional funeral for a Jedi. Anakin sat close to Padme, tears ran down his face. Padme did her best to comfort him. The Jedi present discussed what had happened this day, and who this Sith might be. Unknown to all is Darth Maul was much closer then any would expect. He was strong, he was able to avoid detection from Jedi by using the Dark side of the force. He mind homed in to all until he found the one he had searching for, the one called Anakin Skywalker, his future apprentice. The one who would help him bring order to the universe.
