Prologue

The name's Fox. Fox McCloud.

Over six years ago, a crazed scientist named Andross was banished to a different dimension after trying to use a top secret Cornerian weapon to control the galaxy. However, the scientist came back to the Lylat System and settled a base on the Planet Venom, hatching a scheme in secret. General Pepper, suspicious about the activity, called on the elite fighter squadron, Star Fox, to investigate. With my father, James McCloud, leading the fight, along with his wing mate Peppy Hare and co-pilot Pigma Dengar, they set off to Venom to see what activity was forming there. During the middle of the mission, Pigma surprised the team by turning his back on both Peppy and my father, leading them into a trap. During the climax of the battle, my father sacrificed himself so Peppy could flee, but no one knows what happened to him afterwards, so he was considered dead.

Five years later, after I formed a new Star Fox team in my father's name, we fought against Andross's army during the height of the Lylat Wars. Fighting off all of Andross's fleet in the Lylat System, we traveled to different planets and managed to protect the majority of both the Cornerian Fleet and the universe. When we finally reached Venom, I went in to fight Andross alone and avenge my father for what had happened to him. But during the flight to the center of the planet, a voice called out to me, as if giving me guidance, and the owner of the voice gave me chills that I still get to this day. It was my own father, James McCloud, flying in the very same Arwing he piloted the day he went on assignment, that was guiding me, despite having a strange aura to it. He lead me to Andross's lair, only to disappear as the scientist emerged. The battle was hard, but I won against Andross and fled out of Venom, only for the remains of the strong willed madman to come back and ride my tail. Just as I thought I was done for, my father appeared before me yet again, flying in the opposite way, right back to Andross, distracting the dying villain. Using this as my chance to finish him for good, I fired my lock on lazor blast and killed Andross right there and then, all while hearing my father's last words echo as I made my escape.

'You've become so strong, Fox'

However, when I did exit and returned to my friends, my father was nowhere in sight, which made me wonder if it was him, or if I was seeing things. Not wanting my friends to worry, I simply shook it off and went about our ways of life once again. I thought back often to that day, wondering if it was in fact him, but I couldn't come to a conclusion as to how it was indeed possible to see him when he was already dead. But I couldn't afford to think about it, as my team and I had new problems to deal with all together.

One year after the whole incident with Andross, General Pepper called on us for a new mission. We were informed of soldiers from the Cornerian Army along with a few stray fighters that completely disappeared without a trace. Over the past year, close to about two thousand Lylians were either missing, kidnapped or MIA, leaving many worried if their loved ones were either killed or being held captive without ransom. Without many clues to go on, my crew and I went off to find out what we could and report to the general.

That brings us to today.

Just as we were thinking it was going to be impossible to track these kidnappings, we suddenly get a big lead from a fellow unit, who were facing off with the very criminals we were after. Sensing a chance to get answers, we flew off to see what was going on and why. Now is our chance to bring peace to Lylat once again, in the form of reuniting families with captured loved ones. Lets just hope that we're not too late to save them.

Even though we're all pumped up for a new mission, why do I have a feeling that something major was going to happen?

Author's Note:

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I have been on here with an account, but after a traumatizing time a few years back, with a story that got nothing but negative reviews, I took a hiatus and stopped writing for a while. During that time, I started to try and work on my own thing. While that has been working out, I decided to do a fan story in along side my original work to try and get me back into the spirit, and Star Fox is my current interest.

Now, I know this story may not look like much, but I do plan on adding more, but due to work and the holidays, it's gonna be a busy time and I may be slow to update, so hopefully you all understand.

So after seeing gameplays of Star Fox Zero and also the anime version of the series, I got the idea to do this. Now fair warning, my writing is a little rusty after not doing this for so long, so please go easy on me as I am very judgemental of myself. This is also my first Sci-Fi fanfic, so again, please be gentle with critics.

Just a little FYI, in this story, none of the other games that Star Fox is in (Starlink, Smash Bro's, etc) have any relation to the story. This is an AU that involves our world, but Star Fox does not exist in this version of earth. If you all are confused, it'll all be explained in the next few chapters, so please bear with me.

If you're interested in this, please let me know. After all, this is a project in the making. Now for the rules:

No flames or insults

Constructive criticism only please

Don't like it? Don't comment.

Now for disclaimers:

Star Fox belongs to Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto

Picture does not belong to me. It belongs to whomever posted it
