A/N: This kind of just came to me today. It is a short little story about what happened after Sheldon and Amy consummated their relationship.

For those of you following When Sheldon met Amy...chapter 26 is with my awesome Beta. She said it will be back to me sometime this week.

I don't own these awesome characters.

"Well I enjoyed that more than I thought I would." Sheldon said as he laid holding hands with Amy.

"Me too." Amy said out of breath. Her hair was splayed all over her pillow.

"I look forward to your next birthday when we can do it again." He said. The truth was he was hoping she may reciprocate for his birthday. After all the point of a birthday present was to get someone something of similar value.

Amy looked over at him. She had definitely enjoyed what they had done. Sheldon really did excel at everything he did. If he wanted to just make this a yearly event, who was she to argue? "That works for me." She said and smiled. She was extremely happy and she didn't want to push him into doing it again. She was thinking she may broach the subject again at his birthday. She knew how much he liked getting gifts of similar value. That was still two months away so she would have plenty of time to think about a way to bring it up again. But she wouldn't push. He had given her the best gift ever.

"So about dinner?" He asked. "I can still take you out some place nice if you would like."

"Actually how about we just order in." She suggested. "It's Thursday, how about pizza?"

"I'm kind of in the mood for Chinese tonight. But it is your birthday, you choose." He stated.

"Chinese sounds great." She said. Sheldon was staring at her. "What?" She questioned.

He gave her a kiss. "Happy birthday. I love you." He said.

"I love you too. Thank you." She said.

"For what?" He asked.

"For everything, the flowers, the balloon and well." She said, blushing. Then she placed another gentle kiss on his lips.

"Oh well then you're welcome. But the balloon floated away." He said. "Now let's order dinner."

Sheldon got out of bed and walked across the room. He didn't seem to mind that he was as naked as the day he was born. Amy on the other hand was shy. She was still lying in bed just staring at Sheldon.

"Are you getting up?" He asked her.

"Um, yeah, it's just…" She started but Sheldon cut her off.

"Amy, we just made love. I don't think you should be shy about your body now." He said but Amy was staring at him in utter shock. Had he just said made love? He saw her staring at him. "What?" He asked. He had no idea what could possibly be wrong now.

"You didn't say coitus." She said to him.

"Oh is that all?" He asked.

"Is that all? Sheldon you said made love."

"I know what I said. Did I say something wrong?" He was confused.

"No." She answered truthfully.

"Then what is it?"

"I don't know. I guess I just never expected to hear you say it like that."

"Amy, if you had asked me a week ago about what we just did, I would have said we engaged in coitus but after actually doing it, I know it is so much more. I wasn't lying when I told you that I can't get you out of my heart. No matter how much I tried. I was lying to myself. I love you. And what we did tonight was an expression of that love. So while it clinically may be called coitus, I find myself knowing it was so much more than that."

"That is the most romantic thing you have ever said to me."

"Amy, I don't know about being romantic. You know me I just say what I mean."

"Well in my mind, it was very romantic."

"Good. Now let's get dinner." He said.

Okay I hope you enjoyed this little tale. I wanted Sheldon to have that romantic but not romantic side to him as he truly can turn on the romance when he doesn't even know he is doing it.

If you liked it please review.
