PROLOGUE

I've learned over the years that fear isn't an emotion to be played with. Now, I'm not talking about those stupid college pranks and crap.

I mean true, raw, primal fear.

The ancient feeling of exposure just pounces and rips apart your thoughts, sending any comprehensibility out the back door.

Shock follows the fear, locking the door, and then shoving a piano in front of it.

Yeah. That's pretty accurate.

But since you probably don't really get what I'm trying to communicate, I'll give you a little more insight, through, say, my life story? Well, from where I can remember anything. Which is like ten years old.

I'm surprised I can remember anything.

Since most of my life has been an unforgiving hell.
