Leave the Light on When I'm Gone

Tears sting his eyes before he wipes them away hastily. He wants to rest, but finds he just can't. Silence rests over him, loneliness, and pain tug at his heart. Peering out the window, he sees nothing but the darkness consuming the night and then begins pacing. He knows he is not coming back.

Still he hopes. Perhaps one day he will not be alone anymore. Until that time, he sleeps closest to the door with the Impala keys within reach. The lamp burns bright next to his bed and until he returns, he will sleep with the light on.
