On The Roof

Warnings: Blegh. Shounen-ai. I'm not doing yaoi this time

Pairings: Dark+Dai, because the world doesn't have enough of them. And it's fluffy and sappy and I can't believe I wrote this.

Disclaimer: I don't own it. If I did, things would run very differently in the D.N.Angel world. Bunny-girl owns it

AN: After reading the reviews on my lemon fic, I decided the world needs more DarkXDai. s'my favorite pairing and it seems to be the favorite for many others. Nothing inspired this one, I just told myself to write and here's what happened. It's sorta plotless, and mostly talking.

On The Roof

It was a nice day out.

Nice enough to be sitting atop the Niwa mansion roof, snow cone in hand while watching the sunset.

Well, at least that was what Daisuke Niwa was doing. Happily eating the frozen treat while leaned against Dark, enjoying the separation, if only temporary. Dark wasn't eating anything, but just quietly watched the sun fade off in the distance.

They were silent for a long time before Daisuke finally spoke up, "Dark?"

Being pulled out of his thoughts, Dark looked down at the boy and raised a brow, "Yes Daisuke?"

"Will you ever be free? From being in Niwa's I mean."

Dark heaved a sigh and seemed to muse over the question while Daisuke looked up at him patiently. "I'm not sure Daisuke. Maybe if your family line died out, or something weird happened. I don't think it's possible, really."

Daisuke frowned and looked down at his feet which were dangling off the edge of the roof. "I'm sorry." That earned a surprised look from Dark. "What for?" "That you're trapped with us. It must get tiring, being stuck with us generation after generation."

The purple haired teen started laughing, making the red-head give him a weird look "What's so funny?" "You. You're getting way too serious on me Dai-chan. I wouldn't mind having my 'own life' but being with you Niwa's isn't that bad."

Daisuke shook his head, deciding Dark didn't get the point and finished his snow cone with a sigh. "Don't you get lonely though? All those girls, and they never love you back."

Dark shrugged "I've got you, and ever other Niwa along the line. I've never been lonely while I'm released."

Daisuke smiled, snuggling toward Dark's side with a yawn "I'm glad."

The kaitou gave Daisuke another confused look "Why?" "That I make you not feel lonely."
He laughed again "You do a lot Daisuke, you just don't know it."

Daisuke smiled and closed his eyes, mumbling quietly "I'm glad I do Dark. Ne Dark?" "Hai Daisuke?" "What would you do if I told you I didn't love Riku-san?"

Dark blinked "I'd be surprised, and wonder who you liked now. Why?"

Daisuke grinned sleepily "Just wondering."

Nudging him, he gave Dai a look "C'mon. Out with it. Who's the new girl?"

Half asleep, the red-head mumbled quietly "You. Yasumi Dark" And with that, fell asleep curled up to Dark's side.

Dark blinked. Once, twice, three times, then reminded himself that breathing was nesisary to live. He grinned then started laughing quietly "You're full of surprises sometimes Dai-chan." He leaned over and kissed the teen on the cheek, wrapping an arm around him, "Ore mo. Yasumi koishii"

Boy...that was...short...o_o I slapped this together fairly fast so..uh..it's not too good.
