Authors Note: I think that these scenes, if added in a movie or something, would be expectable. Because you totally know that the movie writers would play up the romance people!

Disclaimer: Lemony Snicket has full claim over these. I am nether that brilliant or snarky, though I do try my best.

WARNING: Spoilers for the entire series because of the reveal of Hangfire's identity.

SCENE 1- Book 3, Ellington and Lemony's hayride. Quotes from the book until "That's not quite what I meant":

"Because I can't keep my eyes off of you."

Ellington slipped her hand into mine. "I'm glad it's dark, so you can't see me blushing."

"That's not quite what I meant."

Ellington moved a bit closer, but I didn't lean back. "Oh, I don't know. I saw you staring."

I blushed. "Well, uh, I had never seen you in non-black clothes before."

"Sure. Keep telling yourself that." And before I knew it, she kissed me on the cheek. It had ended almost as suddenly as it started, and looking back on it, I'm not ever sure if she meant to do it.

Ellington got up. "I think our ride is over, Lemony Snicket."

SCENE 2: Book 4, Before Ellington jumps out the window. Quotes from the book until, "I think that every time you leave":

"It's very important," Ellington said, yelling to be heard over the rushing wind beyond the broken window. "That you come back for me!"

"I think that every time you leave." Suddenly we were kissing. I liked it, kissing Ellington Feint. It felt right somehow.

The train hitting a bump jostled us apart. I nodded at Ellington, and she nodded breathlessly back. Then she jumped out the window. My belt system held, and I raced back out of the room. It was time to find my other accomplices.

SCENE 3: Book 4, Before Ellington gets dragged off to jail again. No actual quotes from book:

I grabbed her wrists. "Ellington, look at me!"

She raised her red-rimmed eyes. They were hard with fury.

"We all do things we don't want to. You helped Hangfire with his treachery so you could get your father back. I killed Hangfire to save this town. I'm sorry. I'm sorry he had to be your father, I'm didn't want it to be like that. I'm sorry."

She reached up one trembling, handcuffed hand to touch my face. "I fell in love with you the first second I saw you. How could I not? You were a mysterious, smart, handsome young man, who appeared into my life so suddenly. You just swept me off my feet."

Ellington leaned in and pressed her lips to mine. It was desperate, the kiss. I could feel her fear, her sadness.

The Mitchums ripped us apart. I followed them to the cell. "I'll see you again, I promise."

"I look foreward to that day." The last thing I saw of her was her smile, the smile that could have meant anything.

SCENE 5: This should have happened in an epilogue:

"Don't move!" I heard a woman's voice command. I slowly turned around, staring at my feet. "Hands up, and no one needs to get hurt."

Raising my hands, I looked up. A young woman, around the age of 17, like me, with long black hair that made the night look gray. She gasped and dropped her gun.

"Lemony Snicket."

I smiled. She smiled back, a smile which could have meant anything. I walked foreword and took her face in my hands. "Ellington Feint."
