Chris stood there feeling nothing, but guilt. Not saddness, nor greif. Just guilt. Guilt that it was his fault his brother was dead. His fault he didn't have the time to get to his brother. Aviva walked up from behind and put her hand on his shoulder.
"Chris, you need to come inside. You'll die out here in the rain." she said to him, then thought to herself "And that's the last thing we need."
"Just go Aviva. I really don't want to see or talk to anyone right now." he whispered.
"Okay. If you say so." she turned and walked away.
Chris wanted to say wait, but guilt held him back. He decided to go for a walk, not seeing Aviva watch him walk away. On the way back he heard a whimper.
He saw a brown and white dog limping towards him. Or at least it used to be brown and white, now it was just brown. He called it over and toke off his jacket. When the dog came he wrapped it up in his jacket, picked it up, and ran to the Tortoga.
"It's okay girl. Everything is going to be alright" Chris told the dog as he ran into the H.Q. "Aviva we have a emergency!"
Aviva who had been working on CPSs looked up startled. Koki jumped out of her seat and Jimmy lost a life on his game. All three ran in and asked "What is it?".
"I found her when I was walking. She's limping bad and looks like she's lost some blood." Chris explained.
"Okay well let's see what's wrong." Aviva said taking the dog from Chris.
THREE MONTHS LATER...
"Fighter, catch!" Chrsi called out throwing the frisbee.
Mist Fighter ran down the hill, catching the frisbee in her mouth, and ran back up. You would have never guessed that three months ago Chris had lost his brother. But he did and found comfort in a stray dog. He smiled. He may had not been able to save his brother, but he did save this dog. His would have wanted to keep saving animals. "And you know what?" he thought to himself. "I did.
Well that's it. You can review. I don't care. Talk to you soon. Bye!
