I do not own any of these characters, even though I would love to own Padfoot...

This was written by me and a few of my friends, so yeah, I love you Kassie and Courtnie

Chapter 1 - The One with the Giant Sock

It was a dark and stormy night. Peter had just been able to close his eyes after having been scared sensless by the antics of his peers, Sirius and James. Remus, having been the dreamy princess of the group, had peacefully fallen asleep in his bed, but Peter was traumatized.

James had magically lit the end of his wand and was holding it, light up, under his chin, creating an eerie image of the clefts and curves of his face with the shadows; Sirius was crooning like some 1950's Sock-Hop singer. Peter, whining and wimpering under his covers, was trying desperately to ignore the boys, until at last he shut his eyes from exhaustion and fell into a deep sleep...

Peter's Dream

He was sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of a cottage in the middle of nowhere, looking out over a field of nothing but wildflowers and daffodils, when out of the blue, a sound came from behind him that was so horrible, he shriveled up in his seat. It was the sound of a banjo playing the intro to a stereotypical bluegrass melody. Peter craned his neck to see behind him and saw a terrifying sight.

The giant sock in the doorway of the cottage grinned menacingly with its non-existant grin, cradling the satanic instrument in its non-existant arms. Screaming, Peter fell out of the rocker and stumbled from the porch, and ran up the hill of the meadow before him, but he tripped over something and fell on his face. Spitting out dirt, he looked to see what it was that he had fallen over. It was a more deadly sight than that of the giant gym sock. This time it was one of the demented rabbits from the book "Watership Down."

(A/N: Pay no heed, it be an inside joke.)

Sqealing like a little school girl, Peter awoke from his nightmare, only to scream again. Sirius was looking over him curiously. The sun had started to rise.

"What were you dreaming about that frightened you so, Pete? Pretty pink ponies and sugar plum faeries?" Padfoot laughed. Peter paid no heed to his questions, but rolled over and started to sob into his pillow.

"Just leave him alone, Sirius," scolded Remus, who had just finished changing for the day ahead of him.

"Yes, Mommy Moony," Sirius teased. He stood up and walked over next to the bed of a still-snoozing James. Yelling at the top of his lungs the song "Rise And Shine," he did a belly flop on top of the poor kid. James moaned and swung his arm onto Sirius, his fist landing square on the back of his head, causing a rather imense knot to swell. The two lay unconcious for the next fifteen seconds before popping up and scrambling out of the room to go down to breakfast in the Great Hall. Remus and a rather desheveled Peter slowly followed suit.

Well, that's the first chapter, I promise it will become more interesting, and perhaps a plot will form, in the next chapter or so. R&R!!!
