No he couldn't turn away he'd tried so many times to flee to run but he could not escape this place he kept coming back here; he didn't know why for it contained so many memories. Memories of him.

The amount of times they'd sat here in this very place talking about their hopes and dreams, making plans of the life they'd have together after they'd left school. All those dreams all those plans were now gone. Gone forever.
"We don't belong to no one that's a shame."
All their friends presumed they were single 'it's such a shame you have no one to love you' their friends would muse. Little did their friends know their secret.

They'd agreed to keep it secret at least until they'd left school. Then the war happened and they put it off again preferring to remain hidden until the war was over. Their secret remained hidden.

He remembered the amount of times he'd wake up to find him leaning over him cleaning his wounds, trying to heal them stop them becoming scars. It didn't work there would always be scars no matter how hard he tried to heal him. He was scarred inside and out. The memories were like scars, scars that no one could see. Scars that would never heal.

He was lost he was gone. He was gone and never coming back. He was with the stars. He was a star the Dog Star.

Even when he returned briefly after all those years; they never told anyone, never said a thing. They never told anyone how they felt for each other they kept it secret. It was just easier that way. He was still running, hiding. It wasn't the right time. It was never the right time.

He did he thought about him every moment of every day he even appeared in his dreams. It was like torture he was gone but it still felt like he was here alive in his head.

He was lonely so in some weird way he kind of hoped Sirius would be lonely but he knew he wouldn't be. He'd be up there laughing, having fun with Lily and James.
He missed him so much his heart ached constantly. He wished he could join him.

Remus would never tell. He'd never tell anyone about him and Sirius ever. It was better this way. It was too painful to say and besides to do so might ruin it. After all this time all he had left were the memories.
