Family Ties
Chapter one: The Tragedy of Lift and Death
It was a sunny day, it seemed perfect. Nothing could make this day go bad, nothing! Well…almost nothing…
"Rei Kon!" the head teacher of a local high school called after a boy with long ebony colored hair and golden eyes. At the moment he was wearing a school uniform, which consisted of a pair of dark blue dress pants with an equally dark blue dress jacket. He also had on a white dress shirt, black dress shoes and a dark blue tie. His long black hair that went down pasted his butt was bound in a white lace wrap.
"Y-yes Mrs. Jones?" Rei asked.
"I need to see you in my office. Now!" she said calmly.
Rei gulped and interred the room. The room it's self was plain, it had dark brown walls, one desk, and three chairs: two in front of the desk and one behind it, there were also a number of filing cabinets.
"Rei…please…take a seat..." she said with a blank look on her face.
"What ever it is I bet you I didn't do it!" Rei half shouted as he took a seat in one of the chairs.
"No…no it's anything like that dear...its just…a hospital called and told me to tell you that…"she went quite for a second."I really don't know how to say this Rei...but…"
"What is it Mrs. Jones? Is there something wrong?" he asked with a worried tone mixed in his voice.
"Yes…yes there is Rei" she took a deep breath, "it seems that your grandfather…he…he died this morning" she looked up at Rei.
Rei's eyes where huge and tears were streaming down like rivers off of a mountain. "N-no…grandpa" his voice was low and it shock with hidden sobs.
"Rei…do you want to spend some time in here or the nurse's office so you can calm down?" she put a gentle hand on Rei's shoulder.
Rei just shook his head no and slowly stood up, "I'll…I'll be ok?" he fake smiled at her and left the room.
After he was about two halls away from her office he fell to his knees and started to sob uncontrollably. About ten minutes later a group of three boys walked down that hall and saw Rei.
"Rei!" a blue haired boy known as Tyson, yelled as he saw the curled up, sobbing boy.
"Rei…what's wrong?" a different boy asked…this one had bright blonde hair, he was known as Max.
The third boy, Kai, kneeled down by the boy and put a hand on his shoulder and whispered, "Rei…" this boy had two tone blue hair.
When Rei heard the two tone's voice he turned and barred his face into the other's chest and whispered, "Kai!"
Kai didn't say anything more; he just wrapped his arms around the other boy's shacking body and held him until he calmed down.
When Rei calmed enough to talk, he told all of them what had happened.
