Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Transfiguration Assignment #3 / Prompt : Use the Snufflifors Spell; Maruder's Era, 'shriek', Sonnets of a Sorcerer

Greek Mythology Mega Prompt Challenge / Prompt : #14 Oceanus - Write about the Marauders

"Okay. Your turn, Moony." Sirius gave the sandy-haired boy a sly smirk. Remus spun the bottle, it's tip pointing to James' direction.

"You totally jinxed that, Padfoot!" James scowled at him.

"Now, don't be a sour asshat, Prongs-y. Just man up and be a dare." Sirius waved him off.

Being the Gryffindor James is, he accepted the challenge. "Fine. What's the dare?"

"Use the Snufflifors spell on Lily-flower's book." Sirius pointed towards Lily Evans, who was reading a thick book of Sonnets of a Sorcerer by the cozy fire.

"No way, Padfoot. Lily is going to kill me!" James panicked, shaking his head madly.

"A dare's a dare, mate. You are a Gryffindor, right?" Sirius grinned once more, patting his friend's shoulder.

"Screw you." he muttered, rolling his eyes and taking out his wand. He cautiously stepped towards Lily without making a single noise and pointed his wand towards her book. "Snufflifors." he whispered, giving his wand a small flick. Suddenly, Lily's book turned into a dozen mice. She shrieked, loud enough for the whole Gryffindor Tower to be alarmed at the sound. She hiked up towards the top of her chair which stumbled backwards on her weight.

Lily turned as scarlet as her hair as all the mice scampered away. She stood up from her landing spot, her breathing heavy. "WHO. DID. THIS?" she asked in a venomous voice.

Three young lads answered in a playful tone, "JAMES POTTER!" which earned them a glare from James each.

Lily's emerald eyes flicked towards him murderously. "Furnunculus!" she waved her wand towards his face, and James' skin bubbled with gigantic boils.

"It-was-just-a-dare!" he said in between casting shielding spells at Lily's continuous firing.

"Anteoculatia!" "Densaugeo!" "Avis!" Lily shot him curse after curse, some with James not even having enough time to shield himself.

Lily ended with blowing the tip of her overheated wand and James having puss filled boils all over his skin, antlers extended on his head, too-large teeth on overlapping his lips and a flock of birds hovering above him, all ready to attack.

"Lily Evans! I expected much more of you.. Attacking a fellow prefect? Unacceptable!" Professor McGonagall pounded her fist on her desk. Their Head of house had her hair up with pink curlers and was wearing a floral night gown. James almost sniggered at the sight if his teeth weren't too big for his mouth.

Lily just looked down in shame. She was just carried away by her anger with James. Well, too carried away.. "I'm sorry, Professor." she mumbled in a small voice.

James was transfigured back to normal just by a flick of Professor McGonagall's wand. "No. I should be the one responsible, Professor. I provoked her by turning her book into mice with Snufflifors." he scratched the back of his neck.

"Both of you will be held responsible. 25 points will be removed from Gryffindor each for your wrongdoings. You both will also serve detention with Mr. Filch on Saturday night." The pair groaned in response as they were dismissed.
