Tim was sitting on the floor of the cave when Dick walked in. "What are you doing?"

Tim looked up from the stuff he had sprawled out around him. "I'm bored."

Dick sat down next to him. "I didn't ask why you were doing it. I asked what you were doing."

Tim grabbed another piece of newspaper. "Now before you say anything, this used to be a tradition with my old nanny and me."

Dick nodded. "Okay, what used to be a tradition?"

Tim handed Dick some supplies. "Making hats out of paper."

Dick gave him a perplexed look. "Why?"

Tim shrugged. "Nothing better to do, I guess. I mean, my parents would leave me alone with her for hours on end, and there's only so much you can do to keep my active brain occupied."

Dick started to fold the corners of the paper down. "Don't I know it. Anyway, is there a reason why today is the day you decided to take up old habits."

Tim started to glue on some colorful decorations. "No, it's just that I always make one on the anniversary of her death."

Dick stopped what he was doing and stared at Tim for a moment. "Death--now there's a subject this family is far too familiar with."

Tim glanced back at him. "Yeah, but it happens. Death has to happen in order for others to live--circle of life and what not."

Dick raised an eyebrow. "Watch the Lion King lately?"

Tim went back to what he was doing. "Ha ha. No, it's called coming to terms with it."

Dick clasped a hand onto Tim's shoulder. "Sometimes you act wise beyond your years. Hell, sometimes you act far wiser than I do."

Tim smiled evilly. "If I didn't know any better, I would think that's envy in your voice."

Dick shook his head. "No, I'm just proud of you, that's all. You're far more mature than I am sometimes, and I'm glad you dealt with everything so well."

Tim handed Dick the hat he had just finished making. "Thanks."

Dick turned it over and read out loud. "Number one brother; did I mention how cheesy you can be?"

Tim grinned. "Yeah, but you love me for it."

Dick smirked as he grabbed a handful of glitter, and threw it at Tim. "Yeah, sure I do."

Tim started to pick up some of the other decorations he had lying on the floor, and began throwing them at Dick. Before the two of them knew it, the area around them looked like a war zone of colors, and both of them were covered in an assortment of glitter and other things. They suddenly stopped and looked at each other and burst into laughter as they were lying on the floor.

When Bruce walked in, they were still on the floor laughing. He simply looked at them with a raised eyebrow. "You two are going to clean that up." Bruce then turned to leave without saying anything further.

They watched him go, turned back to each other, and continued to laugh. "Man, what do you think Bruce would do if we covered the Bat suit in this stuff?" Dick looked down at the things covering the cave floor."

Tim's gaze went to the floor, and then to the suit. "Won't know until we try."

The pair of them smiled evilly, and set out on their task.
