"Did you hear? They are having cheer-leading tryouts!" Maria Slater exclaimed.

"Well, I would be caught DEAD doing that!" Amy replied.

"You might want to give it a chance," Elizabeth pointed it out. Maria's sandwich dropped.

"ELIZABETH! You, on the cheerleading team? That is unthinkable!" Maria cried.

"Nah, if Jess can do it, so can I! I've made up my mind, I'm trying out!" Elizabeth stated.

"Good Luck! Candy Davis is the captain, she can get soo snobby!" Amy retorted.

"Well, Jess can give me a few pointers," Elizabeth said.

After school, Liz rushed home.

"Jess! I'm trying out for the cheer squad, and I need some pointers!"

"YOU?" Jessica cried, almost fainting.
