Alfred F Jones was waiting, in the rain, for someone he was pretty certain was not going to turn up. He shivered and hugged himself as the cold water seeped through his jacket, soaking him to the skin. "Where are you, Iggs?" He muttered under his breath. If it was anyone else... He shook his head. Only for Arthur would he do this.

Arthur. The name rolled in the back of his mind like ocean mist, almost tangible but not quite. Almost there. The last time they'd seen each other was over a year ago at Francis Bonnefouy's part,. where they'd done a little more than just dancing. The taste of his breath was permanently tattooed into Alfred's brain. Today, maybe, they would see each other again.

Arthur sloshed through the flooded streets, his boots filled with muddy water. But unlike Alfred, he barely noticed. He was too deep in thought. Where was he going? Why? "This whole venture is entirely pointless." he grumbled. But underneath his cold exterior was a man frozen by fear. He was about to see America again, and for some reason he had a feeling they'd met before within the last while...All of a sudden it came to him-Francis's party.

The lights were crazy, the noise eardrum-bursting. It was the end of a very long party. Arthur waded his way drunkenly through the tangled bodies on the floor, face flushing as he recognised America at the edge of the crowd. Through his alcohol induced haze, he noticed Alfred making his way toward him. The stupor took over and he found himself kissing he younger nation...

Arthur shook his head, trying to banish these thoughts, thoughts that would not do well for him if he let them show...

Alfred looked around, startled, as he heard splashing noises. His face lit up as he saw Arthur making his way through the rain toward him, face set. "IGGY!" America yelled, rushing forward and throwing his arms around Arthur, whose face now resembled a ripe tomato. "G-get off me, you idiot!" But he was smiling. "Good to see you, old chap! Alfred?" England looked down, concerned. He was shocked to see that Alfred was crying, real tears that streamed down his face and burying themselves in Arthur's already wet coat. "I j-just missed you, Arthur." He sniffed. England awkwardly patted his back, then pulled back. There was a moment of silence, then Alfred spoke up. "Hey, England?" "Yes, Alfred?" "Do you wanna get a McDonald's?
