Chapter 1:
Ed wakes up from after taking a nap next to her computer and Ein. Still a little sleepy she looks over at Ein noticing he's still asleep, "Eeeeiinn" Ed mumbles while nudging Ein, "Wake uuupp". All she gets from Ein is a soft whine while he's still in his sleep. Ignoring it, Ed slowly walks down the stairs and into the Bebop's living room. Spike and Jet are sitting on the couch with hungry stomaches flipping through the channels on TV.
"Spike, since when are their absoloutely no bountyheads out there? I havent seen one report yet!" Jet whined to spike. "Well, I dunno, maybe the world has gone soft or something" Spike mumbled back sarcastically "Even so, we still need to find a way to get some food, rather than just sit here all day on our asses."
Finding no interesting in the conversation, Ed walks outside and onto the deck realizing that the ship has landed in a harbor on a small martian city. Ed looks over to find people walking along the edge of the dock and cars zooming off while other cars wait for the streetlights to turn green. "I wonder where FayeFaye is!" Ed shouted to herself, now woken up by all the hustle and bustle of the martian streets. "She's not inside..." Ed walks back inside The Bebop and next to the door she opens a green box and takes her fishing pole out, goes back outside, sits on the side of the ship and drops her line in the water.
As she continues to wait for a fish to bite, she grows tired again. Her eyes slowly start to close when all of a sudden she hears gunshots behind her. "Wha!" Ed says in surprise as she turns around to see what's happening. There's a man dressed in light, shaggy green and khaki clothes as another man in a bussiness suit and tophat chases him with a gun. The people minding their own bussiness on the street are suddenly frightened by the gun shots, and drop their bags of groceries and papers as they run off ducking their heads.
"That man's in trouble!" shouted ed, awake again. She runs inside rushing back to Ein, as she passes Spike and Jet she yells "Spike, Jet! Come outside, someone's in trouble!"
"Calm down, Ed! This is no time for so much excitement and energy, we need some food!" Jet shouts back at her.
Ed runs up the stairs making alot of clatter as she knocks over a brook and bucket of water, waking up Ein. "Ein! Ein! There's a man outside that's being chased by another bad guy! Do you want to help ed?" Ein stands up and lets out a bark and the two rush back outside.
