The Jin
Naruto AU by: Phi ScarlaDraconia

Phi: I'm branching out!
Beyblade and Harry Potter characters: … Really?!?
Phi: Really! This is my first ever Naruto Fanfic!
Naruto, BB & HP: What?!?!
Phi: Yup! It's quite a bit AU, but should follow the story line pretty closely. I'll try not to mess with the main story line and main cannon characters too much. Yeah… So, who's doing the disclaimer?
Harry Potter: This story doesn't have me in it? Does it?
Phi: No X-over what so ever…
HP: Good! Lady Phi is an enlisted member of the US armed forces, which means her pay is minimal. She isn't doing this for any sort of profit (that I can see) so don't sue her. You won't get much money anyway.
Phi: Now on with the story!

Prologue:

Back before the Ninja Wars, before the Hidden Villages and the Kages. Before human dominance, there were the true masters of what is now known as the art of Ninjitsu, the Jin.

The Beasts in human form, humans with the abilities and powers of the beasts. They mastered the elements and the seasons. They discovered and learned the secrets of Chakra and what it could be used for. They learned to test the boundaries of the impossible, and, more often than not, they succeeded.

But, like all things that are mortal, their rule came to an end.

The Jin, prideful and arrogant in their mastery, practically enslaved their far more numerous but less powerful cousins, the humans, who were bitter, resentful and jealous.

Years of hateful feeling degenerated over time, and the Nin-Jin Wars began.

At first it was painfully obvious that the Jin would succeed in winning against the less powerful kin. Almost overnight, that was proven wrong as humans revealed they had knowledge of what was believed to be the Jin Blood-Right.

The tide turned. The Jin, outnumbered, lost to the numerous humans. And what was left of the Jin disappeared, hiding away from what were once their slaves and servants. For hundreds of years they have gone, until their stories turned to legend, degenerated to myth, forgotten. Their remnants remain. The Jin return.

These are the words held dear by one of the last few Jin on this world, a survivor of those wars long ago. These are the words she teaches to those few who gain her respect.

"A person's worth is not measured by the station of their birth, nor the talents they have, the tricks they know or the items they possess. It is measured by the choices they make, the things they cherish and the ideals to which they adhere. They are not measured for how long their memory persists, but for how long their legacy continues.
That is ones worth"

And those are the words she shall teach, no matter who is remembered as the teacher. For that is how she wants to continue.

Phi: So...how was that?
Naruto: I guess it was okay...
BB and HP Character: (having party in background)
Phi: You guess it was okay? Oh, fine, if you guess.
