A Final Fantasy x Tales of Series Crossover
This is an original story. Includes many characters from various Final Fantasy and Tales of games. World and plot heavely influenced by Elder Scrolls games Oblivion and Skyrim, Tales of Abyss, Tales of Vesperia, Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, Type-0 and Kingdom Hearts. I hope you enjoy it as I haven't written a story in years, it'll be nice to see if I can be creative again.
Prelude: Legend of the Crystals
Our world... Aetherius
A world once ravaged by war and chaos, where man and beast fought with swords and magic
A world where death was the only true peace, many prayed for a miricle to end their suffering.
It came...
The divines took pity on us, and bestoyed us with out salvation. The Aetherium Crystals.
Powered by Aer, the magic from the lifestream of our world, these crystals errected powerful barriers to protect our citys. Keeping the monsters at bay and allowing the humans peace. Over time mankind rebuilt itself, built huge citys, created vast armies and produced technology, all thanks to the crystals.
Though powerful they were a precious resource, many desired them, conflicts broke out and eventually war began again, it became known as the Great War. It lasted for nearly three decades before it came to an end. General Sephiroth challenged Emperor Kuja for the thorne and won. He ended all conflict and was proclaimed Aetherius's True Emperor. Under his rule mankind rebuilt itself once again, making sure the crystals were given to all that truely needed them, and for fifty years peace reined throughout Aetherius once again...
