England ran to the castle, out of breath. He stopped in front the gate and leaned against the cool stone wall. His legs felt heavy and ached though he had only ran from his own home, a mere mile away.

Damn, he thought, I've been growing weaker lately. I have always hoped I would be a strong country. But now, there are people questioning the Church saying that the Earth isn't the center of the universe and other stuff. The Church is my strength. Hopefully, my boss can help; maybe he can stop this and make me strong again.

He quietly shuffled into the throne room. "My Lord…" he started.

"Yes, England?"

"The Catholic Church has split again. It is making me grow weaker by the minute. I was hoping, sir, that you might be able to do something that would stop it." He knelt on a knee and looked up at his boss, "Please sir. I'm afraid if another split happens I may die."

His boss, a chubby man with a short brown beard, looked at him. "England you should become strong soon. I can guarantee you that there will be no more splits from the Church here."

"How sir?"

"You are no longer under the control of the Catholic Church. I have started a new church. The Church of England, we shall call it, and I'm the leader."

England looked at his boss confusedly, "Why sir and where is Lady Catherine?"

His boss gave him a small smile and said, "England, I'd like you to meet Anne Bolyen, my new wife. Catherine and I got a divorce."

England looked in horror at his boss, he was ill and nearly dying because his boss wanted a divorce! He realized, that King Henry VIII was going to be a problem.

(A/N: I got this idea from history class, where we've been studying the Renaissance and the Reformation. I started to wonder how some of the countries would react to this huge change taking place. For some reason, King Henry VIII stuck out in my mind. So I decided to write how I thought England would react when he was split form the Catholic Church. Please review!
