Title: For the Unnamed.
A deafening sound against my ears. Rain, hard as spears and thick as fog. The tips are sore and ache from cold.
A small refuge, against the long night, now endless and swarming. This night filled with creatures of darkness. We here, will bring death by giving or taking.
Lightning strikes, white flashes in the sky. Blades, curved and sinuous. More of my people fall, another ladder rises. They are pouring into the fortress. Walls around me, torn apart, ripped, rock flying.
It is when I feel the stone wall beneath me fail, that I know why I am here.
