Title: Oneth Guruthos
Author's Notes: I was asked to do a Drabble a while back on how Haldir feels about killing orcs and being of the Galadrim. Oneth Guruthos is Sindarin, as all other elvish titles I might use unless noted. I will note in Author's Notes what each title means if not English. Oneth Guruthos means Giver of Death if translated crudely, but a more accurate translation would probably be something like; to give the act of dying.

The thrill of the kill sings in your body as you watch the creature fall to the ground. More come.

You pull the long white fletched arrow from dead flesh so you may reuse it. Moment of disgust. Even our blood, tainted. Not the colour of elvish blood.

Arrows depleted, you draw your blade and hack and slash. Cold steel ringing in the air. Animal-like snarls from both sides.

You feel nothing, you are not here and yet present inside each moment as it lasts for eternity.

Those of us who've done this before, have learned to fast until evening.
