Yay! It's the first chapter of my new series(called Elemental)! No yaoi, and from a girl's point of view this time. The chapters will get posted later because my friends will help me with this one. And we don't get ideas very often and find ourselves not doing anything but lazing around(dunno if that's a word... derp...). Anyways, enjoy!

Chapter 1: I Can Protect Myself and What's Mine

I grabbed onto the metal railing and pushed myself up onto it into a sitting position. The sight was breathtaking. Bright blue sky, dotted here and there with perfect, cottonball clouds. Sweet smells drifted from the orchard about half a mile away. I was too lazy to go inside the little hut I'd made to change clothes so I was in my girl's uniform, because I'd run out of boy's uniforms to wear.

I tipped my head back and swung my legs through the spaces in between the bars, day dreaming about Greek mythologlic creatures and heroic demigods like Jason, and the occasional me stuck in the picture. I was on my little piece of the world, far, far away from reality... well, for a little bit, at least.

Yelling filled the air, disrupting my peaceful imagination session. I turned my head to the direction it came from. From my spot in the trees, where I had chosen to build my hideout because no one could see it, I could easily see that a gang of boys a little older than I was running up the hill about an eighth of a mile away from my spot. They were carrying assorted things(that I could easily use as weapons against them). Metal baseball bats, paintball guns(which is stupid to use against me), Nerf guns, and even a few pocket knives strapped to a few of their sides.

I grimaced, seeing the intruders getting closer to my hideout. I jumped down from my spot in front of their group when they were close enough and was face to face with their leader.

He was taller than I was but I didn't lose face. I growled and shoved him back into his herd of boys. "This is my place, ya hear? Now leave and don't you dare tell anyone about this place or I swear I'll maim you with your own leader's bone that I WILL break off and sharpen if you don't leave RIGHT NOW."

"Oh, tough girl act, huh? Look men! She's trying to be tough! She probably can't defend herself, or anything!" he teased. They all laughed. He leaned down until he was an inch from my face. "Now little girl, I know you're close to tears so we'll let you go if you go quietly and tell us where the legendary Dragon Hideout is."

"Really? I think YOU'LL be in tears, not me." and with that, I kicked him in the nuts, and shoved him again onto the ground. "And I can protect myself, and what's mine."

He groaned in pain before pointing at me and yelling, "GET HER!"

The next few minutes were a blurred by blood and many guys and their "weapons", if you could call everything but the baseball bats and the pocket knives weapons, scattered near their near dead bodies. I growled at the leader and kicked him in the face, causing him to bleed a little highed than his right eye.

"Scatter." I ordered.

A gust of wind blew across the battlefield, throwing everyone but me back out into the mainland.

I had no idea how I did it at first, but I was certain a few minutes after I changed out of my blood stained uniform, that the dragon who made this hide out had helped me. I prayed a silent prayer of thanks, then dropped down on a blanket and stared at the metal ceiling.

"Well, I know I'm a dragon already and I've defended my territory, so that means only one thing. Time to find the dragons who made this place." I yawned and turned over onto my side. Almost immediately, I fell into a light sleep.

How was it? Kinda short for most chapters, but it's more of an introduction. Please review! Or I will show you innocent souls what yaoi is! Mwahahahahaha!
