Sanguine - Prologue.

"Emmett Dale McCarty," Bella screamed as he lifted her towards the side of the swimming pool. "You put me down right now!"

Emmett edged further towards the water, lifting Bella higher above his head; their friends watched on in amusement behind the arguing pair.

"You're on holiday, Bells!" Emmett chortled. "Live a little!" He made a motion of throwing her into the cool water, but dragged her back as she screamed, teasing her.

"My idea of living is not to be thrown in the damn swimming pool in my clothes, Emmett!" Bella voice gradually rose towards the end of her sentence.

"Em, maybe you should put her down." Alice called from somewhere behind them, but Bella wasn't sure where the voice came from.

"Yes, Emmett. Listen to Alice!" Bella struggled in Emmett's arms, trying desperately to be free of his strong arms.

"No, I don't think I will." Emmett laughed and Bella's eyes widened in horror as she realised what his statement meant for her, and Jasper picked Alice up and jumped towards the pool.

"JASPER!" Alice shrieked as she hit the water. "This was a Gucci shirt!"

Emmett laughed, and flexed his arms and his hands lost his grip on Bella's side and legs and she screamed as she flew towards the pool. She closed her eyes tightly and held her nose as her body made contact with the water, and the difference in temperature between the warm air and the chilled chlorine tainted water made a shiver run through her body.

Her head broke the surface and gasped for air and looked towards her friends, everyone had joined her in the water; however she was positive they hadn't had the entrance she did.

"Fuck, it's freezing!" Angela complained as she hurried towards the side of the pool. Bella followed her and the two climbed out, ignoring the slight discomfort as their bare knees made contact with the concrete as they rested their weight on them.

Bella looked down once she was stood, and was not surprised to see that her white vest top was now totally see through, and her blue bikini underneath was clearly visible. Her jean shorts were also sticking to her uncomfortably so she quickly shed each article of clothing and threw them to the side, before joining her friends back in the water.

None of the six friends had noticed the eyes that followed their actions, until they heard the gasp.
