Introduction
Long ago Man was born, forged from the light and dark.
Some were created more pure than others...
Some were created more ill willed...
Then there were those that were made with just the right amount of both.
Now those were the ones Man will look to for guidance in their times of need.
They were not naive like most yet had tender souls that cared for even the most misguided of people. They bare the weight of reality so others don't have to, even though at times such reality can be a cruel thing that tests one's heart.
These people were leaders.
But these people were also heavily burdened.
Not wanting anyone to bear such responsibility that came with it, the Universe was conflicted as to what to do. Should no one be that perfect mix of both? Who would lead Man when they themselves needed a rallying voice to overcome their obstacles?
Eventually it was settled that two souls would be chosen.
Both shall be born on the same sunrise, when the light covers half the planet while the rest settles into the dark.
When one breathes their last breath it will be shared with their counterpart and two more souls will be brought into the world to take their place.
One is never like the last, different in their own unique ways.
The Universe, saddened that such a destiny is put upon these two souls, grants both two gifts.
The first gift is called an Aura.
It protects those gifted with it from taking too much damage, to ensure a long lived life.
These souls were also gifted with a unique power, it was always different, always something the soul will benefit from, even if they might not believe so at first.
This was later called a Semblance.
The two souls were seem odd, yes? How would two leaders get along well and agree on decisions? After all, there is really only one person who usually leads. So why are there two chosen in the first place? Well, the Universe can be quite strange sometimes. Creating not only Man but other creatures too. The Universe wondered, why not have a middle ground? One that is both part Man and part creature.
These souls are called the Faunus.
Both were equally intelligent so it was decided the Faunus would have a chosen soul as well. Thus started the cycle that still goes on for as long as the Universe still exists.
But this is only the beginning of your story. It's start begins with one's end.
