What Is A Slayer?

What is a slayer?
What does it mean?
One girl in all the world?
How could that be?
They see her but they don't understand
Her power beyond what any human could comprehend
Speed like lightning and the strength of a dozen men
She has to hold back when she's with her friends
By day she can act like she's no different than them
But when the sun sets she becomes what she is
She is a hunter, a predator in the night
It is in her nature she and relishes the fight
Among vampires, demons, and hellish creatures galore
She won't bat an eye for this is her world
This fight is unending and will kill her someday
Still she keeps trying and will until her dying day
So why does she continue?
What's in it for her?
Nothing, she is the Warrior of the People
A champion and so much more
