Eternal friendship
"James Harold Potter, I'm gonna bloody well wring your neck when I find you!" Sirius' loud boisterous voice echoed down the corridor of the Potter household. He picked up his pace as he ran through the corridors after a retreating figure. "Then I'm gonna cut you into teeny tiny pieces and then hide them around your room. When they find the bits they will not recognise you." Sirius shook his head trying to get the remains of the jelly that had settled itself annoyingly well in his hair. James' hysterical laughter could be heard from the end of the passageway. He was just about to open his mouth to hurl more abusive threats towards the miscreant when someone beat him to talking.
"Sirius Black, I hope you're not threatening my son? That's my job" Mrs Potter's teasing tone made him slip into the old Sirius charm.
"Of course not Mrs Potter, I'm just showing my appreciation as to how James decided to...decorate" Sirius put an emphasis on the word. "My hair. I love the way the Jelly makes my freshly cleaned hair look.... greasy. Absolutely amazing." Sirius gave his trademark innocent dazzling smile and dashed off down the corridor leaving behind an amused lady chuckling as she walking into on of the rooms that webbed off from the passage.
James hadn't realised that his best friend was sneaky up to the end of the corridor, ready to attack when provoked, which he had already been. The jelly being the evidence. James' head darted up towards the direction in which Sirius was coming from. He heard a slight creaking and reacted too slowly. Within seconds Sirius dived into James rugby tackling him to the floor, he drew out his wand and pointed it at James.
"Ohhhh I'm gonna enjoy this Prongsie, revenge is a dish best served cold." And with that he conjured cold soup, which covered James from head to all ten toes. Sirius choked as he laughed, gasping for air. James spluttered, as the cold soup made it's way down his throat unwelcome.
Mrs Potter approached the two hansom seventeen year olds whom were in a messy heap on the floor laughing and causing general chaos as per usual. She was looking forward to the day they both returned for their seventh and final year at Hogwarts. Ever since they had come of age they had been using magic to prank everyone, especially each other. It was going to be a long year at Hogwarts for the teachers; Dumbledore had his work cut out for him.
