The Library of Twilight
Chapter One: Equestria's Living Library
"Twi, I'm so proud of you!" Applejack looked at her friend with pride. "Thank you for coming to support me, Applejack." Twilight replied. "I'm so thankful to be getting this award!" "Ya know, Celestia said that since the pony gettin' this here award was one of her students, she was gonna do somethin' extra special for ya." Applejack said. "Really? Oh, I don't need that." Twilight Sparkle replied, blushing slightly. "An' she said she was gonna have me give PonyVille a speech for ya!" "Wow, she's really making a big deal out of this!" Twilight said, anticipation and nervousness rising in her chest.
"Ponies of PonyVille! Listen up, I am about to award one of my students the "Smartest Pony In Equestria" award!" Princess Celestia said over the microphone. "Twi, that's you!" Applejack whispered. "Twilight Sparkle will be receiving this award. First, here's her friend, Applejack, to give a speech on behalf of her friend." Applejack squared her shoulders and trotted onstage. "Well, ya see here, miss Princess, Twi and ah have been the best of friends since she moved here to PonyVille. Ah reckon that ah was her first friend here, too. An' she was always puttin' her nose in them books. An' while she's still quite a bookworm, Twi is one of mah most trusted friends. Ah am so proud of her for winnin' this here award. PonyVille, meet Twi!"
Twilight walked slowly onstage to take her reward. Celestia whispered something into Applejack's ear. "An' miss Princess has just informed me that Twi will be invited to live in the royal castle in Canterlot for a month to be Equestria's go-to pony!" Applejack trotted offstage. "Wow, Princess, I am honored, thank you so much, and I can't wait to come to the castle. "Why wait?" Celestia called her carriage in. "Let's go!"
Once settled into her room at the castle, Twilight Sparkle collected her most important books, a small snack, and Spike with his pencil and paper to take notes. She lifted her books and snack with her magic and Spike jumped up on her back as she trotted into the castle hallway. She finally found the room she was looking for. It was square and rather small, but it was friendly and inviting. The walls were painted white with a gold trim, and a dark, cherry wood desk sat in the middle with a beautiful gold and white stool. Papers, some books, and a computer sat on the desk. Twilight set her books and the books provided in a cabinet attatched to a desk, put her snack in a drawer, and set Spike on the desk by the computer. "Okay, I'm ready to become a living library!" She looked on eagerly, waiting for her first customer.
Author's Note:
Well, here it is. Twilight being a living library. If you've seen "Lesson Zero", you know how insane Twilight can go. This isn't going to end well.
