Chapter 1
The Motorcycle, The Cell Phone, and The date
Tristan Taylor was riding his motorcycle in downtown Domino, he was on his way to meet Serenity Wheeler at the Arcade. He was riding at top speed, weaving in and out of the rush-hour traffic when his bike started to sputter, and then came to a stop. He had to push it over onto the sidewalk. He was looking at the motor trying to figure out what was going on with his bike. When he got on and tried to start it, he found out that it was out of gas.
"You piece of crap, I have to meet Serenity in 15 minutes, and if I'm late she'll think I'm a total Jerk!" Tristan said.
"Do you need dome help with that?" A voice asked from behind him.
"What?" Tristan asked.
"Do you need some help with your bike?"
"The only way you can help me, is if you have some gas. Or a cell phone." Tristan Said.
"Sorry I Don't have any gas, but I do have a cell phone. My name is Lily." She handed Tristan her phone.
"Thanks, My name is Tristan just incase your wondering."
"I wasn't. But thanks, when you're done with the phone bring it by the Music store."
"Ok I will." Tristan dialed Serenity's number and when she picked up he said "Hey Serenity, listen I think I'm gonna be a little late because my motorcycle ran out of gas. I didn't want you to worry. Don't get to lonely and if you wait at the arcade I will be there in about 15 minutes ok?"
"Ok Tristan, and I won't get lonely Duke is here to keep me company."
"WHAT!?!?!?!?!? DUKE? WHAT IS DUKE DOING THERE?"
'Yeah I ran into him here at the arcade."
'I'll be there as soon as I can Serenity"
"Bye bye Tristan."
"Bye bye Serenity" Tristan went by the music store to look for Lily, she wasn't in the store so she went to the counter and started to ask "Have you seen a girl with long brown hair, green eyes, ..." The girl at the counter turned around, it was Lily.
"No I haven't seen anyone like that around here."
"He he very funny. Would you mind doing me another favor?"
"Hmmm other than letting you use my cell phone. I dunno what is it?"
"Well, I kinda have this date tonight, and well since I Don't have a ride, I was wondering If you could drive me to the Domino Arcade?"
"You, you have a date? Oh, well I Don't think I can, my shift doesn't end for another hour and I need the pay. So I'm sorry but I can't."
"Oh ok well do you know where I can catch a bus?"
"Yeah on the corner of Vine street and Tiverton drive. It's about ½ a block from here, the bus comes in about 3 minutes."
"Ok Lily, thanks for all of your help."
"Bye Tristan"
Tristan left a piece of paper on the counter and Lily unfolded it and it said
Lily, thanks for all of your help. If you ever want to hang out or something give me a call at 524-9141. Tristan.
Lily was happy that she had Tristan's number. Now all she had to do was get the guts to call it.
