Hello!

I have thought that Luna is a bit more sensitive than she lets on, and she and Neville are meant to be. When Paradise by Coldplay came on I immediately thought of her! I hope you like it!

Paradise

When she was just a girl

She expected the world

It's a panoramic sunset at Hogwarts. The sky is painted royal purples and burgandies, and the setting sun is a glowing red orb about to slip beneath the tall mountains that seem to scrape the sky, and an ominous mass of clouds hangs in the horizon.

She dreamed of

Paradise, Paradise, Paradise

A slight girl is hanging off the tallest spire of the tallest tower. Her blonde hair flows in the wind like water; rippling and glimmering in the dimming light. Luna swings back and forth, not wanting to leave, caught up in the beautiful vista.

But it flew away from her reach so

She ran away in her sleep

It is finally peaceful, she thinks, and I don't have to face the pain. The loss. Because even though they may have won, the cost was high. And she tries to block out the images of the cold, lifeless bodies of her friends.

Every time she closed her eyes

A strong gust of wind whips her hair back, and Luna relishes the cold revival. Up here, high above the pain, high above every single person wanting to ground her, to wrench her head out of the clouds and slam her broken soul into the ground.

Life goes on, it gets so heavy

The wheel breaks the butterfly

A single tear rolled down her flushed cheek. She wanted to get away from it all. Why could she not just run? Luna felt raindrops brush her hair and hide her tears. A brassy roll of thunder boomed across the sky. She wanted to fly away from every single thing that could hurt her, bring her down.

Every tear a waterfall

And in the night, the stormy night, she'd close her eyes

And in the night, the stormy night, away she'd fly

She was soaked through and through, and frozen to boot. The bloody sun slipped past the mountains, leaving Luna watching a purple sky spangled with diamonds.

"Luna?" A boy's voice called. Luna smiled; things might seem hopeless when she was alone. When escape was within reach, her bravery deserted her. But when he was here-

"Luna? Are you up there?"

"I'm coming!" Luna called. She slid off the roof, and hung from her fingertips on the edge of the roof. She smiled at the boy in front of her.

"God, Luna, don't do that, please!" Neville grabbed her waist and lifted the slight girl into the tower. Neville always saved her.

And so lyin' underneath those stormy skies

She'd say, "Oh, I know the sun must set to rise."
