I walked into school that day expecting to be the weird new girl yet again. The girl who everyone went to for answers but never a true friendship. I was used to it but it didn't dull the pain anymore when it DID happen. I wanted to have a REAL friend. Someone to share secrets with and laugh with... Someone who cared. It was on that school day that I found that, but it was also my introduction to the most amazing adventure of my lifetime. This is my story...
Chapter 1:
I walked onto the school campus with my ipod blaring and not really caring who was staring at me. The private school my mom had picked out had a strict clothing uniform policy, but no where in the pamphlet did they say you couldn't use as many accessories you could to express yourself, so I did just that. I was wearing homemade duct-tape bracelets that were bright neon colors and multi-colored neon socks to match them with my black low rise converse. I had clip on extensions in my hair that were neon colors too so it's safe to say that I stood out among the crowd at school. The only thing that I didn't go all out on was my make up. I hate it actually, you give me my eyeliner and I'm a very happy girl.
As usual, everyone stared at me as if I was some sort of freak but I didn't care. I'm a firm believer in being yourself no matter what. My mom wasn't like that but she learned to live with it as I got older. As I walked into the doors, the AC relieved me of the harsh and humid Florida air.
