Alright this story is a redemption, for something I said. I won't say what, but... Hiccup is a girl (Hickory) and Astrid is Arid, a boy. The rest of the characters I let them stay who they were.

Disclaimer: I STILL don't own How to Train Your Dragon. It would be awesome if I DID,but I don't. Killjoy is now my favorite word.

"It's all over now." Hickory growled to Drago Bludfist.

He cockily and menacingly raised an eyebrow and said; "Or is it?"

That's when she knew something was horribly and terribly wrong. And she turned around. Drago's Bewilderbeast, the tyrant, was towering over her, huge and grim. She gasped, realizind exactly what he was going to do.

" OH NO!" was all she could say as the beast prepared a devastating ice attack. She tried to run, but what could Hickory do?! The ice rushed toward her and began enveloping her. That's when, her beloved Night Fury, Toothless dove in between her in hopes of saving her. He couldn't. The ice covered them both while an eerie mingled scream and roar died away.

Valka was devastated. " NO!" she cried. "Hickory!" and before her baby Scuttleclaw could reach the ground she was off the back of her mount, and trying to see any sign of life in the ice. Her dragon mad a funny screechy sound. Valka pounded on the ice silently howling to the gods. No, not my daughter too...Please no...You can't do this it's not fair! Drago snickered at the mother's distress. .Was. It. If her husband and daughter couldn't live in a Dragon Bludfist free world, then she could at least make sure that others could, right?

" You will pay for that." Valka growled softy at the horrible mound of a man. " I swearto all the gods above and below that you will pay for the evil you have just committed!"

Drago smirked. No more rivals. No petty dragon riders. No annoying girly dragon masters getting in his way. Except for... He sensed and object coming at him from behind,and barely dodged it. Arid stood there, angrily gritting his teeth, and whirling his ax above his head.

" I. Hate. You. You son of a muck sucking, rat eating half troll!" he snarled.

Snotlout got to his feet and agreed with Arid. " My cousin may have been annoying and strange, but she didn't deserve that!"

" Well, brother, it's time to give Dargo Bloodyfist a taste of our..." Ruffnut trailed off and Tuffnut joined in. "...Twinsanity!"

Eret shook his head. " Ya know Drago, I thought that you were bad, but I didn't know that you were THIS bad!"

Drago sneered at them all. " Do what you like! But remember this: I alone control them all!" he stepped off of the edge of the bluff that he was standing on and rose up on his tyrant. " Now, send my regards to the late Dragon Master!" Everyone became very still. Rivena, Arid's little sister crept out. " Big brother...?"

" RUN!" Arid hollered at the top of his lungs. " RUN!" All of the Berkians scattered and ran as the tyrant sent down another jet of ice completely obliterating what remained of the village.

Hickory blinked. And turned to see two green orbs gazing at her. "Toothless?" she murmured. Toothless warbled a bit. " Okay. So we're stuck in Bewilderbeast ice, and have approximately fifteen to twenty – five minutes left before we run out of air." Toothless growled. " Yeah, I don't like the odds either." She paused to think. " But maybe the others will be ableto dig us out...?" Toothless grumbled. " Well, I am gonna stop talking now."

They tried to dig out of the ice, truly, they did! But in the end: " Toothless..." Hickory ooked at her dragon. He looked so small now, compared to the mighty Night Fury that was her best friend. " I'm sorry." she whispered. He chirped. Both were starting to feel heavy and drowsy. " Look: I just want to say..." she put her arm around his neck, " You are my best friend, bud, you know that? Yeah- my best friend." Everything was going dark. " I'll see you on the other side, okay?" Then everything went black.

Arid felt helpless. Even more helpless than the time when he was blinded by a lightning strike. His girlfriend was possibly, (okay,definitely), dying in ice, and without their dragons, there was no way they could reach the team in time! But then; Snotlout yelled. " Oh, come here quick, come here. They're here, THEY'RE HERE!" Everyone scrambled. Valka the fastest of all. To see they were too late. It was one of the most heart - rending things Arid had ever seen. Toothless had curled himself around his rider, in hopes of protecting her. Hickory had her arm draped around his neck. Both weren't moving. Both were dead. And Valka cried. It wasn't fair, Arid thought, that good people like Valka, Hickory, and Stoick had too suffer. Not fair at all.

Now this is the last page of our book. We are now forty-five years old, and have children of our own. But, we would just like to remind the world of a girl who should never be forgotten.

Hickory Hope Haddock the Third

She died protecting her island and her friends. She was so devoted, and her dragon so devoted to her that they died together. Yes, we wrote dragon. The world back then was different. There were dragons for example. But then Hela's henchman, Drago Bludfist took them away.

However.

There is a rumor.

That on the day that all the dragons disappeared, two spirits, one of a girl, one of a dragon, enter this world. Now, we aren't hinting anything at all! We just thought that you would like to know.

Alright. Sad, eh? How did you like Hickory and Arid? I tried to keep them original and true to their characters. I chose "Hickory" instead of "Hicca", because Hicca kills me. It's weird. it's unnatural. And, why Hicca, when you could do Hiccup? See? It doesn't make sense. When I chose the names I tried to make them normal, but different. Like Hickory could say " My name's Hickory. I know. Vikings believe that a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls." I got Arid from a Httyd and Wings of Fire crossover. Do any of y'all know which one? XD Also, Hela is the child of Loki, who is actually evil god. Hela is the ruler of the Viking Underworld, Helhiem, where evildoers and cowards go. So...yes that was an insult.
