Disclaimer (wow, I'm remembering to write it!!) - I don't own this! If I did, a few characters would have been happier, but most of them would be more angsty and suffer a lot. :) But I don't own it, which is why you've never seen a power ranger draw blood or have blood drawn from them, whether by knife, sword or any type of blade, or anything, really...
Read this quickly: This is a solution to get over that feeling of drowning in stress and pressure - come on, many of the rangers are legally still kids, and saving the world is hard on anyone.
NB - Not my best work, but nevertheless I'm proud of my idea.
It's Gonna Rain...
Tori sighed. She hadn't felt like this since…forever. Separate parts of her were laughing and crying, but the overwhelming emotion was definitely joy, pure and simple.
It was as if her skin was sparkling soft light, like the liquid ice-drops of impossible sensation, painless and magical, were coming from her, not the sky above.
The feeling may have been new, but she liked it.
The rain was falling – it tickled her skin wherever it landed, but it also presented a freedom: she didn't need to be strong out here, because even if someone had been around they couldn't have distinguished her tears from the raindrops.
But there was no one around.
She could feel the wet grass beneath her, the moisture soaking through her clothes. It had been foolish to think of lying in the rain, but now that she was doing it…it felt so right. Maybe it was just because her element was water, but…it seemed like something more, too.
Eventually she had to get up. The dark treetops shivered in the wind, leaning against the navy sky. Pinprick stars continued to watch as the ranger returned to herself, reluctant though she was to re-enter reality.
Who would want to? For a few short seconds, gazing up at the stars, she was one of them! What kind of person would give that up if they had a choice?

All rangers – all girl rangers – went through this; that's what she had been told. Now she understood why her predecessors had suggested a 'night-time stroll'. They promised that the next time she would be the messenger, be the one to pass on the idea, induce the experience.

"Kira, I have a suggestion. Don't look at me like that – it isn't my suggestion. The female ranger union has suggested you take a walk to cool off. Get the anger and frustration out of your system, so to speak."
"Seriously? You think I can walk it off or something?"
"Look, you're going tonight at 8 o'clock, whether you like it or not."
"But it's gonna rain tonight!" the yellow complained.
"Trust me, you'll be thanking us tomorrow."
Well? What do you think?
