He watched as all the other kids were hugged by their parents and congratulated, the parents were telling them about how they were going to get their favourite food for sent a feeling he was all too used to down he's spine, sadness. He could feel tears build up behind he's eyes and he fought not to cry ninja's didn't cry he was going to be Hokage damn it.
But now he wasn't even sure of that he couldn't even perform a low rank jutsu properly he was pathetic. It was harder to stop the tears now. He stood and quickly ran into the forest and slumped down against one of the large tree's and did something he hadn't done in a long time, cry.
He didn't know how long he'd sat there crying. All he knew was that it had begun to get cold and his small body was shivering through his jumpsuit. Through the tree's he could see a few houses and saw that the small children were being called inside.
"I want someone like that" He muttered
He pulled his knees up to his chest and buried his face into them as he body was wracked with sobs
"I'm pathetic" He sobbed
Why did they get to be happy and have families, why couldn't he. It wasn't fair why did he have to be the outcast, the freak.
He got up slowly and winced as he spine cracked. He walked slowly, eyes downcast so he could ignore the glares he got of the villagers
"Did you hear he was the only one who didn't pass?"
"Isn't that lucky can you imagine what would happen if he passed I mean he's the-"
"Shh were not supposed to talk about that"
He tried to ignore them and sped up slightly trying to get past them before they said anything else about him
"Ay you demon "A drunk man yelled throwing a glass bottle at him
He flinched away and started running. He was too busy running to notice he was about to run into someone. CRASH
"Ah I'm sorry" He cried
It was only then he looked up. It was Iruka sensei . Everything came crashing down and he buried his head into his chest and started to cry
"I don't want to be alone anymore" He sobbed
"Your not don't you see that Naruto you have me'
It was then that Naruto say that even when he thought he was alone, there was always someone there.
