A/N: For this to make sense, you have to understand my theory that I believe that there are two different Blaze's, one in the current time and is the same age as Sonic, and the second in the future, the same age as Silver. The rest should be pretty self-explainatory.
Why Sonic can't marry Amy
"You can't run away from marrying me this time Sonic!"
Team Sonic was cornered on a rooftop by Team Amy yet again.
"You don't get it, Amy! It's not 'I won't', it's 'I can't!'" Sonic shouted, trying to move toward the edge of the roof, preparing to make a run for it.
"What do you mean, 'you can't'?" Amy asked, moving to cut off Sonic's escape. Just as Amy had completely blocked off Sonic's escape route, a burning kunai embedded itself right between her feet.
"Who are you, and what are you doing to my fiancé, you pink-furred hussy?"
Amy looked up to find a purplish-blue cat standing on top of a stack of boxes, glaring spitfire at the pink hedgehog.
"Blaze, great timing!" Sonic exclaimed, visibly relaxing.
"YOUR FIANCE!?" Amy half asked-half screamed. Calming down slightly, the pink hedgehog drew her trademark hammer. "We'll just have to see about that."
Blaze's eyes lit up, and a evil smile spread across her face as she drew a brace of kunai in response. "That we will."
Just as the pair were about to spring at each other, a Chaos Control time warp appeared between the combatants. Both Blaze from the future and Silver the Hedgehog appeared from the hole. Future Blaze, wasting no time on preamble, sprung over to Blaze of the current timeline and started whispering in her ear. "Can't kill……Amy…because she…Shadow……Silver's parents…."
Current Blaze's eyes grew larger with each passing second, finally looking into Future Blaze's eyes for confirmation. Seeing their job done, both Future Blaze and Silver disappeared back into the Chaos Control time warp, leaving Current Blaze to simply stare at Amy for a moment, as if she couldn't quiet believe what she had just heard.
"What was that all about?" Knuckles asked Sonic, neither of whom had been able to hear any of the exchange.
"I don't know, and somehow I don't think I want to know." Was the Blue Wind's reply.
Blaze suddenly snapped out of her stupor, her earlier fiendish grin returning as she readied her combusting throwing knives.
"Just because I can't kill you, you pink bitch, but that doesn't mean I can't beat you within an inch of your life!"
Newspapers the next day would report that a blood curdling scream had been heard from the roof of a local office, and multiple fireballs had been seen in the same area. In unrelated news, Amy Rose was admitted to the hospital for multiple burns and numerous laceration. On a lighter note, Neko-no-Blaze, Princess of the Nation of Fire, announced her marriage to the infamous 'Blue Wind of Solleana', Sonic the Hedgehog, in a private ceremony on Angel Island.
Knuckles would later (drunkenly) admit to presiding.
