The Blade Breakers had already managed to fit themselves into the tiny bus by the time the first flit of snow even began to cover the streets. As fun as being with his friends might have seemed when they were all comfortable in their own rooms, the idea of spending more than three hours with them in a cramped space - however close they may be - had Max fidgeting in his seat. Watching the blurring motions whiz passed the window, Max almost felt jealous of Mr. Dickenson's quiet, spacious car. They would meet him once they got to the actual campsite themselves.
There weren't many details pertaining to the trip that Max didn't already know, though there weren't many details that he knew about it either. Max was just grateful that the basics had at least been touched upon during their brief discussion the week before. Two months away from any kind of civilization that didn't already immediately apply to themselves and land that stretched on for miles with the only signs of life being the bright greenery that sprouted from the damp soil everywhere. And despite the certain horror-esque qualities the whole plan just seemed to naturally posses, Max didn't think it sounded completely insane. Considering their last attempt at a relaxing break away from harsh competitions and even feistier competitors, maybe getting away from the rest of the world was more of a tactical move than Max had originally thought.
When Max finally looked up the sun was disappearing behind the trees far too quickly for his liking. He would have at least appreciated the chance to properly admire the soft snow before he was shipped off to the other side of the world. As much as Max had wanted a vacation he still wasn't too sure that even letting Mr. Dickenson handle the arrangements was such a good idea. It wasn't like Max didn't trust Mr. Dickenson - after all they'd been through it would be impossible not to - but did he even know what would be fun for them?
The bus jerked, jolting Max up out of his seat before he plopped back down again. He wouldn't worry about it, he decided. After all Max and his team had faced together a boring vacation was still better than no vacation at all. Besides, even if the whole thing turned out to be a bust he still had two months of no training to look forward to.
I'm not too sure this is something people are interested in reading so if you are just make sure you drop a review and let me know, otherwise I'll probably just let it sit here and get old. I know it's very short for a first chapter but that's sort of become a bad habit of mine. This is a KaiXMax story so I hope you guys enjoy this if I continue. Anyway I guess the question is should I keep going with this? Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day!
