Helen rolled ahead of Pierce and Manny in D'Void's citadel. *I never saw D'Void recently* she thought. She looked back. ''D'Void is probably sick,'' she said to Manny and Pierce.
''We will find D'Void and arrest him for conquering the Null Void as soon as possible, Helen,'' Pierce said. He continued to follow Helen before a thoughtful expression formed. ''I don't see the Null Guardians in D'Void's citadel. The Null Guardians are usually with him.
They are his pets. Hmmm. The Null Guardians are probably attacking D'Void's other enemies.''
''You might be correct, Pierce,'' Helen said. She gasped. ''D'Void might be dead.''
''Let's find D'Void's grave so that I can dance on it,'' Manny informed Pierce and Helen. He saw his companions' wide eyes.
''It wasn't a joke,'' he said during a frown. Manny continued to focus on Helen and Pierce. ''D'Void is not getting roses from me.
I will dance on his grave.''
The trio gasped as soon as D'Void stepped out of a room. They stopped running. They observed tears streaming down D'Void's face.
D'Void scowled. ''I was with my sick Null Guardian.''
Manny tilted his head due to confusion. ''You're not a spirit?''
D'Void grinned after the Null Guardian's spirit materialized behind the trespassers. His eyes were on the Null Guardian while it attacked them.
''No, but my Null Guardian is haunting the citadel.''
