"Gwen you've got the Hub take good care of her while Ianto and I are gone." I yelled before grabbing Ianto and briskly walking to the door. As it rolled to the side the alarm blared and Ianto looked at me confused.

"It's not our scheduled date night tonight Jack, and I have a lot of paperwork to do."

"I know Yan, but you looked stressed so I thought I would surprise you." I said leaning down and pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "Now come on you'll like this one, I promise."

"Whatever you say Jack." He said smiling at me.

We walked out of the hub to the black SUV waiting, Ianto stopped, I didn't I kept walking and grabbed Ianto's hand as I passed.

"But Jack aren't we driving?"

"No Yan I felt a nice moonlit stroll would be nicer, what about you?"

"It is a bit cold for this isn't it Jack?"

"Not if your wearing this," I said taking off my trusty coat and wrapping around Ianto," is this better?"

"Very much so, thank you Jack."

"Anything for you Yan." I said as I leaned down and pecked him on the cheek wrapping my arm around him.

"So where are we going anyway Jack?"

"Very curious aren't we, well you'll just have to wait and find out." I said as a grin crosses my face.

"You know how I hate surprises Jack."

"Well tonight you won't, I promise."

(Ianto's POV)
Where are we going, this is most unlike Jack. He hasn't said as many innuendos as usual, if any now I think about it. I wonder what he's up to. "So Jack," I said entwining our fingers, "you're really not gonna tell me anything?" I said leaking charm in my words.

"No Yan I wish I could, but I can't, but trust me you'll like this suprise."

We kept walking for another 10 minutes until we can to the Bay. Jack led me to a boat on the bank.

"Jack what is this?"

"You'll see Yan."

Jack starts the boat and we sailed for about 8 minutes until a small island came into view. We pulled onto the shore and Jack took my hand and led me off the small vessel.

"Now Yan, I want to show you something."

I got a little nervous, Jack never acts like this, he's quiet and grips my hand tight. I look down an he notices and loosens his grip. "Okay Jack lead the way."

We walked a ways to a small shack on a grassy part if the island. It was small and quaint and oddly homey. A breeze blew and I tightened the coat around my shoulders.

"Okay Ianto, you're probably wondering where we are," he said I knew this was important so I stayed silent, "well this is the place I stayed when I first arrived in Cardiff many many years ago. It was my home, this is where I first met the Doctor. It reminds me of home and I wanted to take you here to ask you something."

I took a quick shortened breath as Jack lowered to one knee. I clasped my hand to my mouth.

"Ianto Jones, you are the greatest man I've ever known. You've been there for me when I need you, you've been my rock in the middle of the storm, and tonight I wanted to make sure it stayed that way. Ianto, will you marry me?"

I breathed faster as I felt the warmth if tears warm my cheeks. I chocked out. "Y-y-yes Jack Harkness I will marry you."

Jack stood and pressed his lips to mine an wrapped his arms around me. He then reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a red box and opened it. Inside was a simple silver ring with one small diamond on it. It was simple and it was perfect. He slid it on his finger and kissed me once more.

"I love you Ianto Jones."

"I love you too Captian Jack Harkness, and I always will."
