Another silly drabble. It was firstly a Corbin/Lucas fic, but as you shouldn't post RPS fics here, I decided to change it a bit. If I'm lucky, the Corbin/Lucas version will be available on chyan community.
I don't own it. Feedback is welcome. Enjoy.

Appearance
---
Ryan Evans was never the first one to notice even the evident differences in other people's appearance. Some of them laughed that it was because he was too focused on his own, but it wasn't true.
He noticed the changes in clothing, though, that's true. Chad's new T-shirt or Kelsi's new hat. He even once noticed Troy's new sweater.
But, when all of them arrived at the beginning of the school year after the last days of vacation, he didn't even take note that Troy's hair was different colour than it was when they'd seen each other only no more than two weeks earlier.
He only noticed that, when Taylor came to him and asked what his opinion on Troy's new hairstyle is, because he was the only one not to comment on it.
He laughed out loud then. Same thing happened when Troy died his hair dark brown before the holidays.
The only evident change in appearance he noticed was when Chad tied his hair into a fluffy ponytail at the back of his head. He cared about it for one simple reason – Chad didn't look exactly like Chad when his head wasn't surrounded by the huge mass of hair. Which actually only made him less attractive, Ryan thought.
So, he didn't notice Chad's beard, when they met in the hall after the break. They exchanged quick kisses on the cheeks and Ryan knew something wasn't exactly right, but the kiss was too short to think about it.
Only in the evening, when they were already in Chad's room, and Chad gently and carefully took off Ryan's tie and kissed his neck, Ryan cried out, "You've got a beard!"
And Chad just laughed sweetly, with no mockery nor reproach, but affectionately and joyfully.
"You're adorable," he just whispered softly, kissing him fully on the mouth and rubbing his cheek on Ryan's neck.
Ryan pushed him off himself firmly, his eyes sparkling, when he eyed Chad's face.
"I like it," he said.
"I'm glad," Chad laughed again and leaned on, intending to finish what he'd started earlier, but Ryan stopped him again.
"But you will shave it off tomorrow, right?"
