More Than Enough

So he'd never tell anyone this, but Santana's kinda his 2nd girlfriend ever. Contrary to what he made people think he wasn't such a huge stud at his old school. He was the opposite actually, that's not the point though, the point is that Santana's the only girl he's dated besides Quinn. Why is this a problem you ask? Because she's the first girlfriend he's ever had during a major holiday, let alone the most romantic holiday of the year. He's clueless as to what to get her. What do you get the girl that you're suppose to only be dating to make your ex jealous but actually kind of like? Flowers and candy just seem kind of lame and she would probably laugh in his face if he got her a stupid cheesy stuffed animal. He's fucking around in the mall with Puck and Artie when he sees it, it's perfect and he immediately goes into the store to buy it. Artie and Puck both laugh as he walks out the door, making fun of him for being, "So whipped by satin already that it's not even funny," and he just laughs because he knows that Pucks been planning something for Rachel for weeks and Artie bought his present for Brittany a month ago.

They go to dinner at Breadsticks, he knows that's where everyone goes but she loves it so he doesn't argue. She's wearing this unbelievably sexy dress and he can't help but give her a few once-overs. They order their food and she's being really quiet, other than the occasional "Yeah," she hadn't said a word.

"What's up?" he questioned, "Are you OK."

"Yeah, fine," she responds and he gives her this look like he's not going to leave her alone until she tells him.

"It's just no ones ever taken me out on Valentines Day before." She said finally, he gave her a disbelieving look so she continued; "No ones actually taken me anywhere, I usually just celebrate Valentines Night."

"Wanna know a secret?" he questioned, moving over to the other side of the booth to slide in next to her when she nodded.

He puts his lips at her ear before speaking, "You're the first date I've ever had on Valentines as well." She gives him a disbelieving look and he shrugs, "You're the one and only."

She leans over and kisses him briefly on the mouth and they get back to their food.

He opens her door for her and walks her up to her front steps when they return to her house and she messes with her keys while she waits for him to say something.

"I actually got you a present." He said after a few seconds. He shoved his hand into his pocket coming back up with a medium sized box. "It's one of those open-heart necklace things." He said as he opened it up, "I got it because it kind of felt like a sign, see I figure if you'd let me in, I'd like to be your boyfriend." He smiled, "For real this time, none of this 'we're making Quinn jealous bull-shit, just me and you trying to make this work."

She was quiet for what felt like forever, her eyes trained on the necklace when she did speak he almost didn't hear it.

"Okay."

"Wait, Okay, that's like a yes right?" he questioned.

"Okay yes." She laughed, "Yes it's a yes."

He smiled and pulled the necklace out of the box as she turned around to let him put it on her, kissing the back of her neck before clasping it in place.

"I feel bad now," she admitted, leaning back against his chest, "I didn't get anything to give to you."

"Trust me." He thought, "You've given me more than enough."
