It turns out the DWMA also was big on teaching music. Since I had nothing to do today I thought I would check the music room out. I pushed open the door, there were tons of instruments, violins, flutes, clarinets and many more. My eyes fell on the shiny black instrument that sat on four legs.

A grand piano. A smile touched my face as I walked over. I admire the beauty of it as I sat on the bench. I was fighting with myself on the inside, I hadn't played in years, but there was a song I knew I could play.

I pushed the cover up and let my fingers fall on the keys. I hesitated and the notes came out strangled. I sighed and breathed in. I remember the first time I heard the song, back when I was in the right universe.

I scrubbed the plate with probably too much force. My mom was a mess, pushing everything on me. I had been working 7 days a week since dad left. I was having a horrible day.

I squirted more dish soap into the mix and continued washing. The song on the radio died and another one started. I instantly loved the melody, I recongnized the voice, its a song from avrils new album. I laughed as I swayed to it. Not paying attention, I dropped a cup and split my hand open.

I had gotten stitches from that. I looked down at the scar on my right hand.

It hadn't occured to me until now. The songs name is black star. Seems like destiny had planned this or some shit. I have no idea how I ended up at the DWMA. I fell asleep one night and I woke up on the ground in front of the school. They had excepted me though, even though I was a witch they hadn't seen before.

I felt the keys being pushed down and the familiar melody filled the massive room, slowly I gained confidence and started singing.

"Black star, Black star.

Forever you will be.

A shining star… shining star.

Be whatever you can be.

A rock star… rock star.

You will always be.

A Black star, black star, black star,

Black star, black star, black star."

The notes faded out as I giggled in happiness. I smiled as I sat there in the room, some part of me being fulfilled.

Little did I know I wasn't the only one there, neither was I the only one smiling.

That's when black star's losing streak ended.
