Disclaimer: This is the eighth story in From the Radio. The song used, Rose Bouquet, is by Phil Vassar, a totally awesome singer/songwriter, isn't mine. And I know this isn't usually the type of story I write about Jason and Kimberly, but I love this song. So enjoy!

''So this is it, isn't it?'' Kimberly Hart asked her soon to be ex boyfriend. She was standing in her living room, tears running down her cheeks. She never thought this day would come.
Jason Scott looked at her. He didn't want to break up with her, and she him. But she had messed up horribly. They'd gotten in a fight, their first ever, and then she had kissed someone else. Jason didn't think that they could fix things. ''Look, Kim, we can't take this back. We've been together four years, and then you kiss this other guy. After one fight. I don't see any other way out. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone. But I can't imagine staying with you now that you've kissed some other guy.''
Kimberly sighed and tried to keep the tears from falling. ''I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't even want to tell you because it was a stupid mistake. Please, forgive me!''
Jason picked up the bouquet of roses he'd gotten her for part of her birthday present. He tossed them in the trash. ''This relationship is over and done with. Like these roses.'' He left, trying to keep the tears back.
Kimberly broke down sobbing on the couch. She had never meant to hurt him. The radio was playing softly in the background, and she started to turn it off, but they were playing Phil Vassar. Rose Bouquet. She sat to listen, realizing the significance to her and Jason's tattered relationship.
''We were somethin' you and me
Yeah we had 'em rollin' in the aisles
We got it right once, didn't we
We had our shot and missed it by a mile
Forget the bitter end can you remember when
We sang, we laughed, they all
watched us dance
as they circled round us
and toasted to forever
We played to win we never gave in
And we threw, yeah we threw it all away
Like your rose bouquet
Passion flows like a long white gown
It ain't easy to keep your love alive
We hope each other would come around
We'll use our lessons for better luck next time
How sweet it was back then
Do you remember when
We sang, we laughed, they all
watched us dance
as they circled round us
and toasted to forever
We played to win we never gave in
And we threw, yeah we threw it all away
Like your rose bouquet
We sang, we laughed
they all watched us dance
as they circled round us and toasted to forever
We played to win we never gave in
And we threw yeah we threw it all away
Like your rose bouquet''
Kimberly sniffled, brushing back the tears. She knew what she had with Jason was over, and she couldn't change it. But if she thought about the good, maybe it wouldn't hurt so bad..............................
Jason turned back right before he got to his Jeep Wrangler. He really didn't want to leave her. He still loved her so much! He brushed away the tears he felt on his cheek. He knew he couldn't go back to her. Or could he? He hesitated, holding his car keys in his hand. He started to go, then hesitated. He shook his head and got into the car. He was going to go home, to cry by himself..................................................
Author's Note: Oooh, the first To Be Continued story in the series! Well, I hope you liked this, and be on the lookout for the next one, which may or may not wrap this up............................
