A/N My bestie Notedforeloquence was trying to get me back it to writing by giving me a prompt. It was fire and this is what came of it. If you like Marshall lee/Fiona fics you should check out her stuff!
"How long has he been at this?" Rogue asked.
"Since about five am." Gambit answered.
Rogue made a hmm noise and sat down in the lawn chair Gambit had supplied for her. The two sat in silence next to each other for a while when Rogue spoke up again. "What exactly is he doing?" She wondered out loud.
Gambit pondered this for a moment. "Spelling something out with sticks. I think." He told her.
"So when he lights them on fire it will spell something? Can't he just to that with his powers?" Rogue inquired.
"I do believe so." Gambit replied.
"So why go to all the trouble?"
"I guess we will have to wait and see."
The two sat in silence once more and pondered over the man's antics. Meanwhile the man in question ran around piling sticks and mumbling to himself. After about a half hour he finally seemed satisfied with his work. And began to light the piles on fire, giggling as he went.
"So what does it say?" Rogue asked.
"Can't really tell from here." Gambit replied.
Suddenly a window for the Brotherhood Boarding house flew open and and Wanda stuck her head out. "John why did you write fire will you go out with me on the lawn?" She screamed.
John, the man who was responsible for all of this frowned. "It was suppose to say Wanda will you go out with me. How did that happen?" He said sullenly.
Wanda sighed. John had been asking her out for weeks now. And his ways of doing it were getting more and more ridiculous. "Just put it out before the house catches on fire and I will change and be right down." She sighed again and shut the window.
John began jumping up and dancing around, the fire mimicking him.
Rogue looked over at Gambit. "Well that was entertaining." She said with a smirk.
"So do I have to result to lighting things on fire to get you to go on a date with me?" Gambit asked.
"Well fire isn't really your thing." Rogue said smirking again.
"So I have to steal something. Because that's my thing. So I should steal your heart maybe?"
"That was lame." Rogue said snickering. "Come on." She said getting up. "You can buy me a burger."
Gambit got up as well. He threw his arm around her shoulders. "Sounds great." He said with a smile.
