Disclamier: I don't own Monk or any other orginal character He was chasing her. He was coming close. She knew he would get her. It was all her fault, she thought to herself. She shouldn't have stayed out past curfew.
Once he got her he put a gun to her head.
"Freeze," he whispered in an evil voice
"W-who are you," she asked frightened
"Who I am is of no concern to you," the man said, "you just do what I tell you and you'll live to see another day"
He grabbed her and led her behind the bushes.
"Take off your clothes," he instructed her.
"Wh-why?"
He pointed the gun at her.
"Okay, okay see I'm doing it"
"Good girl," he said, "now lie down on the ground"
She had no choice. She had to obey.
"You scream, you're dead," he told her, "you cry you're dead"
She forced herself to lie very still while he forced himself on her and stole her innocence.
Trudy Ellison, age 16 woke up from that nightmare screaming.
It was two years ago that this happened. She still remembered every minute of that faithful night… the night her youth was stolen from her. She cried for herself. She cried for her baby girl that was lost to her less then a month after she delivered. She also cried for her attacker.
Both of her parents came into her room just as she finished saying a prayer for her attacker.
"You had the dream again," Dwight asked gently.
Trudy nodded unable to speak.
"It's my fault," she said, "if only I hadn't been late for curfew-"
"No honey," her mother soothed, "this isn't your fault. Only one person is at fault here and it isn't you. It is the bastard that-"
"He must have a lot of problems," Trudy said softly, "Nobody can be that innately bad"
Her parents exchanged a look. How did they get such a gentle wonderful daughter who cared so deeply even about the people that hurt her?
"Can you fall back asleep," Marsha asked her daughter.
"I don't think so," Trudy whispered softly, "I keep reliving that night"
Marsha gathered her daughter to her and rocked her. She sang a song that always comforted her.
Baby Mine
Don't you cry
Baby Mine
Dry your eyes
Rest your head
Next to my heart
Never to part
Baby of mine
