Disclaimer: This is the ninth story in From the Radio. This song, is, again, not on the radio airwaves yet. It might or might not be. But I had to use it. It's called Part Two. It's by Brad Paisley, and is not mine. Neither are the Power Rangers. Anyway, this continues where Rose Bouquet left off. So I'd read that first. Anyways, get on with the reading!
Part Two
By Julia
Kimberly Hart had been broken up with Jason for three weeks now, and their friends weren't sure what to say or do around the two of them. Kimberly herself walked around in a daze, not sure of what to do with herself. She was sitting in the Youth Center, one day, by herself. She was waiting for Aisha. She and Zack were going to talk to her about Jason. Kimberly didn't know how it would help. He wasn't in love with her anymore.
She was just getting up to leave when a song began to play over the speakers. She stopped. She knew the song. It was Brad Paisley, Part Two. She had this CD at home. She didn't know why it would be playing. For a brief second, she foolishly thought it might be for herself. Then she got up to go. On her way out, Jason blocked her. He was standing in the doorway.
''Hollywood never fails to make a sequel
For each and every movie that does well
Why can't love be more like that
The best ones get a second chance
That way though you're gone
It wouldn't be that long
Til I'd see you
In part two
We'd pick up where we left off
When I lost you
Yeah we'd fall in love again
Change the way the story ends
We'd bring back me and you
in part two
Lookin' back we had so much
to look forward to
The kind of love that needs to be continued
And if this were only Tinseltown
By now they would have figured out
A way for you and I
To give it one more try and
I'd see you
In part two
We'd pick up where we left off
When I lost you
Yeah we'd fall in love again
Change the way the story ends
We'd bring back me and you
in part two
Yeah we'd fall in love again
And change the way the story ends
We'd bring back me and you
In part two...''
Kimberly looked at him. She had to admit, her heart still skipped quite a few beats when she saw him. She said, ''Hey.''
Jason shifted. The whole Youth Center was all eyes. It was like a soap opera. He finally said, ''Hey.'' And then, ''Did you like the song?'' There was an awkward pause.
She was confused, but she replied, ''Yeah. It's a great album. I have it at home.'' She said, taking the ball into her court, ''What is it that you want, Jason?''
Her ex-boyfriend said, ''I had hoped you'd pay attention to the song. Kim, I want you back. I'm sorry I left you, without trying to figure this whole mess out. I've been totally miserable without you. Please, say you still love me.''
Kimberly gasped. She couldn't believe it. She was the one who'd messed up, and here he was, apologizing! ''Oh, Jase! I've dreamed that you'd come around!'' She flung her arms around him and they kissed as passionately as they ever had................................................
Author's Note: Now we're back to the standalone songfics. I hope you like this, and if you're a fan of my work, you keep reading. Read and respond, why don't ya?
